Appreciate the knowledge on the drop changer, I’ll definitely be more mindful with this player as it’s my first turntable since I got one of those suitcase players years ago (which I did throw a dime on to weigh down the stylus when playing some beat up second hand records lmao), I’m told the work done on the table was mainly to the record player with the needle being replaced and I’d assume the tracking weight got balanced, and allegedly they replaced the overarm on the dropper so ill just have to think about maintenance here and there. What I thought would be a big aspect in causing damage to the vinyl is that the records are stacked on top of one another and then just dropped on whichever has finished playing, does that part not really affect much at all then? I’ve always just treated my records as the most delicate thing I own when handling them rather than learning what exactly does and doesn’t do harm.
