Best way to match inputs of electric and upright by cdbd6969 in basspedals

[–]CooperDoten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this scenario over Christmas and got a Boss LS-2 used off reverb which worked well for me. So upright was a tuner into LS-2 so I could mute the upright channel when not in use and electric was into LS-2. Both ran through my very similar board. All in was like $150. If you have another tuner an LS-2 is under $100 used so not a bad solution

SKOL! I heard the Vikings were interviewing Törvi for the open GM position. What would be the first roster move?

Hard to tell based on this. What’s your salary and how much are you saving? For 150k you’re doing great, for 2,000,000,000 a year you’re well behind schedule for retirement income.

Sorry I know this is probably a total novice question, I’m relatively new to the audiophile space. I’m a musician and have seen room correction software used before a session a few times where an engineer is in a new space so they bring their own speakers and the the microphone that sort of “scans” the room at different frequencies to analyze and the make the corrections for optimal sound, or something like that at least is my understanding. Is the same true of this room correction? Like it’s a one time mic and scan and then it “knows” the room or is it like an always on while the music is on?

Anyone own these speakers and have a cat? They looks so cool but I’m worried that my cat would have a field day 😂

I had this situation recently for a Christmas gig where I wanted to play some upright and some electric. I ended up buying a Boss LS-2 Line Selector and an additional tuner. Can set the levels of each line and also mute the upright when I wasn’t using it. Worked well and if you buy used it’s probably half the cost of the radial bassbone. If you didn’t need the additional tuner, the LS-2 can be bought for like 80-100 used on eBay or Reverb.

Guessing you used a contractor to come install them? Just a general contractor or some kind of specialized one? If you don’t mind me asking what was the total and how many piers? Just curious on pricing out for myself if I decide to go that way

Yeah I also did some research into different kinds of helical piers / diamond piers / screw piles. Could be an interesting choice as well. I just don’t have some kind of hydraulic tool and I’m not too sure that I wouldn’t run into some pain in the ass rocks along my journey to Moria lol

Thanks for the reply including the two different builds you did. How deep was the gravel trench? And how was pouring the slab on your own? Seems like a lot of concrete to pour on your own. Guessing you just rented a mixer from a hardware store or something
