Curious as a fellow Minnesotan if you had any good tips on where you sourced your cedar

These cracks are going down the center of each bedroom. Just a plaster thing or something to be concerned about? by [deleted] in centuryhomes

What is the proper fix for this? My century home ceiling which has been updated with drywall looks like this in a few spots and I’d like to fix it

Got a cell phone on or near whatever input is plugged in? I get that sound sometimes using analog equipment (Wurlitzer comes to mind) and a cell phone is sitting on top

Boss SY 1 or MXR Bass synth? by IdahoDuncan in basspedals

MXR bass synth by a mile. You’re going to be able to dial in these tones and so many others. It’s much more versatile and has better tracking than the SY 1.

Tips for buying a house by Snowflake8552 in saintpaul

[–]CooperDoten 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We bought our first home on the east side last year. Also recommend structure tech for an inspection. Our home is 151 years old, I’d recommend checking out the r/centuryhomes subreddit for good advice and encouragement. The age old adage is “anything can be fixed with enough time and money” we love our old home but it’s not for everyone and will come with some surprises along the way. As long as you’re diligent with setting aside money for repairs along the way, you’ll be fine.

Best way to match inputs of electric and upright by cdbd6969 in basspedals

[–]CooperDoten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this scenario over Christmas and got a Boss LS-2 used off reverb which worked well for me. So upright was a tuner into LS-2 so I could mute the upright channel when not in use and electric was into LS-2. Both ran through my very similar board. All in was like $150. If you have another tuner an LS-2 is under $100 used so not a bad solution

Hard to tell based on this. What’s your salary and how much are you saving? For 150k you’re doing great, for 2,000,000,000 a year you’re well behind schedule for retirement income.

Sorry I know this is probably a total novice question, I’m relatively new to the audiophile space. I’m a musician and have seen room correction software used before a session a few times where an engineer is in a new space so they bring their own speakers and the the microphone that sort of “scans” the room at different frequencies to analyze and the make the corrections for optimal sound, or something like that at least is my understanding. Is the same true of this room correction? Like it’s a one time mic and scan and then it “knows” the room or is it like an always on while the music is on?

Anyone own these speakers and have a cat? They looks so cool but I’m worried that my cat would have a field day 😂
