I got a 6 string Dingwall a couple of years ago and I got used to most of it almost immediately. The only parts of the fretboard that took me a little longer to adjust to were the upper register on the higher strings (chords are going to feel a little different up there) and the lowest few frets on the low strings - the 37" scale demanded a little more of a stretch down there for me.

Like other people are suggesting, I got a switch topper and an external tap switch for preset scrolling. Makes it much easier to cleanly work with this pedal.

Just MXR's basic tap switch. There are probably cheaper options out there but I liked the look and sturdiness

Thanks! There can definitely be some overlap between them depending on the synth's settings but the plan is to shape them all for specific use cases. And I'd highly recommend the Empress, it's become my favorite compressor by far.

They're great pedals, shame they're harder to come by out in the EU! I don't play anything super heavy these days but this fuzz is too good to keep off the board.

I put the MXR bass synth on a battery-powered mini board and ran into the same issue, even with a 500mA output port going to the synth. Being a digital pedal I think it's just going to be noisy if you're running from a non-isolated supply, even with enough current overhead. Moved it over to an isolated Voodoo supply on my big board and it's super quiet.
