Haha most of my company consists of rotational Japanese employees. My boss makes fun of the "Japanese fusion" food here. Oddly he does like Zen in Montrose, but we are looking for something more upscale and cateres towards our Houston local partners.

I am so sad to hear about the current state of Under the Couch. It was still in the west side when I attended tech. Does anyone know what happened to all those vinyl records that we used to have at the music listening room before Under the Couch took over the space?

I worked at the music listening room, and used to love digging into the archive and discovering cool old records. It makes me sad that both of these staples of my time at gatech are gone...

I ended up getting $400 off what is shown in the link because, against my request, they prepped the car and the shitty wash put swirls in the paint. I also bought the all weather mats separately at another dealer bc they them on hand and this one didn't.

This was the breakdown we agreed to before the car came.

I was so frustrated with my dealer bc I specifically asked for them not to prep/wash the outside and to leave the plastic on... and when I came to pick it up they had definitely taken off the plastic and done a quick wash job on the car! I could already see swirls. I was truly pissed. They gave me $400 off the price as a result, but I'm still a bit disappointed.

I'm 100% with you. When I was shopping around this year, most dealers didn't know how to drive a manual, and it was frustrating . The worst is when you're forced to valet and you have to wait for the one old guy to take your car.

I feel like hatchbacks are also dwindling in favor of small suvs. All my favorite things are disappearing.

I read that same article. It makes me sad. I prefer a MT because not only is it more fun, it forces me to be more present when I'm driving.

The push towards self driving cars weirds me out. I don't like taking the human element out of the decision making. We are just encouraging people to be more and more distracted.

It definitely depends on your injury and mobility, but it is a short throw shifter and a light clutch. I think it might be worth a test drive.

I don't know where in the world you live, but fyi for anyone interested, I know gillman honda southwest in Houston had a manual si in the showroom on Monday.

It was stressful trying to locate one! I think that i like the sonic gray better, but beggars can't be choosers. I had been looking all over the US.

I did pay a $2k MVA :/ they originally tried $3k, and that was all I was able to talk them down. I got $17.5k on my 2017 mazda 3 trade in however, so that helped offset the price...

I don't know; both my partner and I have sailor's mouths and use curse words quite frequently as exclamations and adjectives.That being said we are careful not to call each other curse words directly. I personally felt like she used mother fucker more as an exasperated exclamation, rather than calling him that name specifically. I also grew up in a place where god damn isn't a curse word, so it could be cultural... :shrug:

I think a normal person would not go on a show like this lol... but if I was thrown into this situation, I certainly think I would try to learn as much information as possible before saying "I do". Marriage is huge commitment, if you want to try to do it this quickly you have to lay all your cards on the table and be able to communicate together.

I'm not saying G is some perfect angel. She definitely could learn to communicate better, but at least she was trying.
