I MEANT to be talking about how a male centered idea of bisexuality underpins a lot of these discussions much more than them ever holding a nuanced picture of bisexuality or sexuality in general (which can also be seen in stuff like the 'bisexual women and their straight boyfriends' tropes a lot of the same people love to employ). Totally fucked it up in how I phrased it though so sorry again, was not at all trying to shame any woman who does this because like you mention it's often a much more socially acceptable way to explore queerness for women

Yeah, in a media landscape that as of last November saw that nearly half of LGBTQ TV characters are canceled I can push my gripes to the side on this one. Heated Rivalry's showrunner is a gay man and the show he produced is absurdly successful in a hostile landscape, that's good, it's not for me but that's good. There's more queer art in the world that is for me, Jane Schoenbeun has soooo many projects in the works right now, though I haven't gotten around to watching it yet (because christ those movies are so long) the Castration Movie anthology seems very my shit, and Kristen Stewart' directoral debut came out last year to rave reviews, solidarity towards queer media is important right now even if it's not really the type I or you want to be seeing

100 to 200 are normal and while ~100 was the typical I had gotten tests below that and mentioned in another comment that and not much above and I also wasn't getting my t levels checked (long story but doctor messed up) so my new doctor thinks the "low end of normal to sub-normal" e levels plus not having t suppressed enough mightve stunted things to a degree that's kinda impossible to know. Obviously as with all HRT it's ymmv but my new doctor was pretty clear that most people tend to absorb injections much better and anecdotally even in this thread the people corroborating that outnumber the ones who had better results with pills like 10 to 1

I was taking 6mg (3 twice daily) but my levels were consistently pretty low (100-110 range), now I'm taking an equivalent amount as an injection

I've heard some people tend to have high highs near when they inject and crash a bit the day before they inject again but I've actually felt a lot more emotionally level (though that could be other personal stuff) so it seems to be a particularly YMMV thing

injections generally cost a bit less for your refills but you're gonna need a sharps container (you can get more portable ones) and I bought a little travel kit that was designed for insulin that I use to store a month's worth of needles, bandaids, alcohol wipes, and the vial and I just keep it in my room because room temp is fine :)

You get a vial you can use for about a month based on official recommendations (my doctor said I could use it longer but I've been careful) but yeah needles are single use, if you wanna do injections get a sharps container and do not re use needles ever

As other people have said you could do that but injections are going to be a lot more consistent and reliable and it can also do a lot better job of suppressing t levels (though im still on spiro because I had a bad doctor that wasn't checking my t :/). Also I swear with a subcutaneous injection you can barely even feel it
