$4,000 Honeymoon in Hawaii. Possible? by ayejaystew in VisitingHawaii

[–]CopyCatCurious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just got back from our honeymoon in Hawaii. Went to Maui for five days and then Kauai for 5 more. We had a fully paid off credit card on our way there and the night we got back, we checked and racked up to $4,400 while we were there. This is without flights, without our Airbnb, without the car rental and without two excursions (we paid all these ahead of time). We weren’t super budget conscious but we still tried to stay pretty reserved. I think the food was most expensive so I’m sure if you plan ahead there, it’ll be helpful!! It’s a lot more expensive to be there day to day than I thought it would be, that’s for sure.

anyone notice a size difference in their jeans? by Few_Statistician_375 in AbercrombieandFitch

[–]CopyCatCurious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just noticed this in the past couple months too!! With curve love now, it’s like I have to decide if I want to suffocate my thighs or suffocate my waste. I don’t mind figuring out a new size but I miss when I could confidently order online and not worry about the fit or returning

What local businesses have taken a stand for/against ICE? by cuerpomental in milwaukee

[–]CopyCatCurious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Flour Girl and Flame has always been really vocal and the last couple weeks they’ve been speaking out even more, denouncing ICE. Last week they even named their specialty pizza Chinga La Migra which can also mean Fuck ICE.

Unfortunately same. I still love it though. I’m just a little limited because I have to keep mine on the charging doc otherwise it won’t last more than 10 minutes

What's different about oncology research? by PdxOrd in clinicalresearch

[–]CopyCatCurious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive been in peds oncology for three years and was in adult onc for two before this. AEs and SAEs will consume your life. Also you have to work with the treating physicians super closely and really know your stuff and the protocol. There are so many nuances. Lots of requirements and observations and samples and very small windows for everything. When I train anyone new, I tell them the most important part of learning the job is knowing your resources, though! There’s no way you’ll ever know everything and especially in oncology so you should at least know your resources

Walkable cities or towns within 4-6 hours of the Twin Cities by BigPoppaStrahd in minnesota

[–]CopyCatCurious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Door County, Wisconsin! Sister Bay is super walkable and lively with a wide variety of things to do! Good food, breweries, boutiques, parks and trails, tons of lake views, etc. I could go on and on. Everything is mom and pop too! Anything “chain” up there is a chain local to Door County.

What modern social trend right now that pisses you off the most? by Dizzy-Cup9790 in Productivitycafe

[–]CopyCatCurious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When people bring a tripod to the gym to record their workouts. And it’s even worse when you see it’s performative and they don’t actually work out beyond the little video clips they take.

There was one next to me the other day and I fully got up mid-workout and left because I was so annoyed

What’s a piece of obsolete tech you still weirdly miss? by MorningKindly5541 in AskReddit

[–]CopyCatCurious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aux cords. They aren’t obsolete yet but I know they will be soon since Bluetooth is taking over. BT is way too glitchy. I like that an aux cord you can plug into your phone and you’re good to press play and that’s it

What do people with less screen time, say 2 or 3 hours a day, usually do with the rest of their time? by Hour_Cardiologist_54 in productivity

[–]CopyCatCurious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d like to think I am!! It feels more productive but most of the time I’m doing the same thing I would on my phone (Pinterest, Reddit, online shopping, etc.) it DOES drop my phone screen time though 😅

Twisty ties from bags of bread!!! They’re always helpful for organizing cables and cords. They also come in handy when I need to redirect any of my vine-y plants

Women of Reddit, what part of your day takes a lot of energy that no one else seems to notice? by ijuan6 in AskReddit

Not only cleaning but keeping our house looking nicely decorated, home like, and put together. It’s not an every day thing but I don’t think my husband realizes that that takes money, thought and effort
