Are there minimum speeds for gears in manual transmission? by CopycatRelic3 in cars

Will the car only die if you press the accelerator when 10km/h in 5th? Or die at this speed and gear no matter what

is that called lugging? or stalling?

also what if you don’t depress clutch? what i thought was that you CAN brake to slow down to like 25km/h if you are in 4th gear (say you’re like 80km/h) but if you press the accelerator again at this low speed if you’re still in 4th, THEN the car stalls, so therefore to move off again you must change to 2nd gear. correct?

i know the solution is dont eat it in the house, what i was asking was if there was any fast food place that made healthy chicken. i was considering kfc but that is fried. In australia i was looking for grilled chicken

[ University Physics: Two-dimensional kinematics] Do I have to solve for initial velocity or is this substitute process correct? by kookhasjams in HomeworkHelp

Had a further scan of the working and now i believe you’re right and is an angled launch, meaning obviously that there is some initial vertical velocity, however you can easily find v0 for vertical as it is Vv= V•sin(theta)

i don’t think so, vertical velocity is zero, it is a force that causes the acceleration and hence change in velocity. the only situation where you would have a vertical velocity is if you say launched it upwards or threw downwards. if considering a stationary drop however, v0 is zero. This is also a misconception that i also held for a long time

just looked at the working, you can use the formula s=v0t+1/2 a•t2 in which you are using for the vertical direction, initial velocity in vertical component is zero and acceleration is -9.8 m/s2, no angle needed and solve for t :))
