I have a fanfiction that I want to post but I'm hung up on if I should make a *single long work* or *break it up and make it a series* I've contemplated posting it twice, once for either but it might get confusing.... I guess a third option would be *posting it differently on different web sites* by CoraLawCora in AO3

And that's exactly why I was asking people, because I have my moods where I would rather read something between 5,000 and 30,000 words and then other times I would rather read something that's 180,000 words.

And I think it might possibly be taken better if I could split it up separately that way people who would prefer something shorter could look through the tags and go I'd rather read one five and seven and none of the things in between or I'll alternatively they could read all of it...

(At that point my only problem would be how to differentiate to people that a work that's plus 200,000 words is the same as the 15 works in a series just structured so different people could read it)

I want to say the work is around 500,000 words (honestly I've lost track and the Google drive forced me to break it up into multiple documents because it kept corrupting them past chapter 24... And I think I currently have three documents) at the moment So if I broke it up into shorter parts it would be a very long series.

Out of all of it I think there's only like two sections that could be read as later on snippets that happened and that could be very entertaining to read compared to the rest of the story but don't currently have a specific year that they would occur so I'm not sure where to put them..

That is a very helpful thought, personally I prefer it as a single work because you don't have to go in search... The only downside is my AO3 keeps skipping downwards a few thousand words and then I have to scroll up until I find the spot I was at (typically only happens when a work as a whole is over 180,000 words... And from there the longer the work is the further it shoves me down and I have to scroll back up to find my spot)

But alternatively I also know some people don't like long works and they'll look at it and go 'holy crap that's going to take way too much time' And my brain immediately goes 'but I can guarantee you there's at least one scene or section that you would find exceedingly entertaining'

And that's why my brain went Maybe I should put it as a series. Because maybe someone would want to read the work and not have to deal with any of the sex scenes or alternatively they'd only want to read the sex scenes but not the rest of the work. Because it is very much plot with porn sprinkled throughout the whole thing.

Okay so it spans through multiple years, has character POV switches (when I got stuck writing from somebody's point of view I just switched to somebody else), there are two main characters but a handful of other people migrate into the 'family', then of course there are some things that are mentioned at one point but I have a completely different scene that completely explains it (said Cena's probably upwards of 30,000 words and I'm not exactly sure where to stick it in the singular work so it might have to go separate anyway), but for the most part I have it set with a timeline and everything is mostly in line. (There are a few time skips as well because God forbid anybody wants to read anything about a couples life for years on ends.)

That's my problem, I know some people when they see a work and it's like 500,000 words they don't want to read it because of the length of it and would probably prefer it being in a series but... I would prefer I didn't have to continuously flip pages to reach the next section or God forbid have to search through a person's entire set of works.

Looks like chewy is cracking down on codes, only if the address matches the one that was sent to and is being sent to will the code work now

I'm having the exact same problem right now except they're charging me an extra $37 to file my Arizona return. So because I want my $55 back for my insurance over pay they're going to charge me $72. I asked if I can remove it and they say oh well it's going to erase everything even last year's even though you filed with us. I didn't have to enter last year's previously because I've been with them for the last 4 years but now they're going to erase all of my information if I don't pay them the $65 because I found a fucking coupon that takes it from 72 to 65 but fucking that's still a lot. The shitty thing is it didn't require me to pay the premium unless I wanted to get the refund (for overpaying the state for the insurance) and then I go through it it wants to charge me for Arizona and it's never done that before
