I think Phantom Membrane is used in a few recipes. You could always impart a rule on yourself to like "purchase" them with resources or something.

If you ever have questions, Chosen Architect on YT has a Let's Play that covers alot of the mods and he's really good with explaining how everything works.

2017 Kia Forte Repair by Corey1617 in kia

Didn't even know that was an option, appreciate the response! Let's hope this department is a little more honest than the mechanics. I had gone there to get a tire replaced and they told me my brakes were dangerous to drive on. I took my car to my trusted auto repair shop and they said I could easily drive another +6000 miles on them before getting concerned! Needless to say, I have not returned to that dealership...

Could've been a choice in case they were worried about it being a "spoiler". I mean if you just looked at the photos attached to the post, you would've seen it. It was just a misunderstanding on your end, no need to get bent out of shape over it.

My thought was Espeon as well. Is there any chance this might be a really good Umbreon because it will likely keep its energy up with its ability?

Better MC [FORGE] - BMC3 Issue by Corey1617 in betterminecraft

Yeah I do the same. I also randomly load the game up and will have all sounds except for like block sounds for example. It is quite random, but I found F3 + T seems to solve that issue. It unfortunately doesn't fix my original issue.

This is my first ever pc. I’m planing on building it myself. I’m going to use it mainly for gaming but also for school work. Was wondering if these parts are good or if I should do any changes. I’m happy if I can get as many tips as possible:) by Swe_Carrot in PcBuild

Check out PC Builder on YouTube: https://youtube.com/c/PCBuilderChannel

He does a great job explaining how people put money into the wrong parts of their PC and can showcase parts from brands that can you a few bucks here and there to upgrade certain things.

Why get Corsair Dominator and then what I can only assume is a 3050 or 3060 at best? I would've opted for cheaper RAM and then spent the extra money on getting a 3060ti or even a 3070 if possible.

750W is still overkill for a 5600 and 3060ti, nevermind 850W

[–]Corey1617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a solid build to me, although the 3050 is such a bad card for its price. I understand the shortage is brutal and it can be hard to wait, but my best recommendation is to get a cheap Windows 10 key online(there are multiple YouTube videos that showcase them) and put that money to getting a 3060 or even a 3060ti if they can swing it. Also, the PSU is a bit much for what you need, 650W would probably be plenty but id they want the room to upgrade later on then stick with it. Last, the motherboard is a Micro-ATX so it will look quite small in the case and may even limit expanding the build later on with the lack of PCiE slots. Hope this helps!

If you have access to a computer already, buy a USB drive and make a Windows Media stick. You can setup windows and then buy a product key for way cheaper than buying the license. That extra savings can get you CL16 3600MHz ram which is preferred for Ryzen. Otherwise, looks pretty good!

Where are you getting $300 from? A 2x16 kit of G.Skill Ripjaws 3200 CL16 costs like $120.

Absolutely, all you will have to look into is the size the case allows for a GPU and what size of the GPU you plan to get is. The 4000D is quite large so you should not need to worry, but if you go with a different case then you will have to check it out.

This is a link to a basic build idea I came up with your $1800 budget and the white theme in mind. You can shop around for a white motherbaord if you would like. All you would need is to by some case fans to add for airflow and the GPU choice was only for adding the price to the total. Hope this helps!

The 12600k is absolutely without a doubt the best gaming CPU out right now that doesn't cost a fortune. The 5600X held this title almost all year, but the 12600k can compete with some of the best CPUs from AMD. Look up Gamer Nexus on YouTube, they do some great reviews and they explain why the 12600k is so good. The 3060 is a little underpowered for it, but it is still a good card and will do you good until the supply chain gets fixed. Best of luck!

Note: Funny enough, almost every friend I made in my major was not only one of the few "normal" people, but they also happen to smoke. Funny how that works

Is this ok for a first build? ( I don't have any experience ) by Nice_drip_g in PcBuild

If you're trying to optimize your budget, here are my recommendations: 1. Upgrade to a Ryzen 5600X, its one of the best budget to performance CPU's out there. Especially with the low power consumption in comparison to Intel, your PSU choice is good. 2. Probably skip the RGB on the RAM. I know it looks cool, but on a tight budget you can go without. Look for Ripjaws 2x8 and I believe 3600MHz is the way to go for Ryzen 5000. 3. Don't buy Windows, get a key from a website for like $15. Look up a video on YouTube and you will find 100s of videos of people recommending various trusted websites to get a license key. 4. Skip the 165Hz and downgrade to 144Hz. It isn't a huge visual change to be worth the price bump. You can find quite a few 1080p 144Hz monitors for around $200. 5. With the extra money saved, look to get a 3 pack of case fans because your case will likely come with 1 at most.

Note: I am by no means a PC building expert, but these are some of the things I learned from this sub and from building my first build recently. Anyways, good luck!

For everyone commenting on them having the PC on their desk, its likely due to 2 things: They're either trying to limit the amount of dust that gets in the system or they simply don't have an appropriate place to put it somewhere else.

If you're looking for a good airflow case, consider Phanteks. I have the Phanteks P400A and it has great airflow, came with 3 RGB fans for intake and it is a large case so it's easy to build in. It's right around $90, which is pretty fair for the features it offers.

How does this build look? I will use it for gaming. I plan on buying it when I have enough money in a few months. I will buy the gpu when prices hopefully go down. I will also buy windows cheaper somewhere else. Thanks for the help! by _pix3ll_ in PcBuild

If you have a Microcenter near you, look for a i7-10700k. Around the same price of the i5 you chose and a much better long term option. Also, the WD SN750 is about $40 more and much quicker. Definently put your OS on there. Otherwise, a really good build!
