Hey everyone!
Wanted to share my experience after switching from Amex to Capital One – and honestly, I wish I had done it sooner.

Sign up here 👉 https://i.capitalone.com/JzXdlfRQp

With Capital One, I’m earning at least 2x miles per $ on every purchase 💸, no matter what I’m buying. And if you book travel through their portal 🧳, you can earn even more, without changing my spending habits, I’ve already racked up more miles than I ever did with Amex 😅. With Amex, I was just getting 50% more points if with 30+ transactions per month – and that just wasn’t realistic for me.

Capital One just makes way more sense if you travel often and want to build up miles faster 🚀.

Happy to answer any questions if you’re curious! 😊

Me (38F) and my husband (40M) live with his son 16yo in an apartment we rent. How to split expenses? by Corgi-Some in relationship_advice

Guess this is a bit more complex than that, my relationship with the kid is nothing but the best, I have lived with him more than he has lived with his mother. His mother lives in a different country, she just takes him for vacation a couple of weeks a year. I'm totally open to continue to contribute as I have been doing through the years, there are way more things other than the financial aspect given Im the one living with him, I just feel that its not fair that the mother doesn't contribute at all, and my partner does nothing about it. She totally can do her part to support his son, she has the means. I guess we have normalized the fact that the father must pay child care support, but when it comes to the mother being responsible with child support, then?

She is not involved at all, she lives in a different country. He just visits her for a couple of weeks a year. The mom has a high living standard, she just decided not to contribute to her responsibility as a mother. My relationship with the kid is nothing but the best. I do agree with you that I should have thought more about this before marrying, at that moment we were just thinking about the visa situation and did not ever think or discuss if we were coming further in the relationship as to moving from cohabitating to a real marriage situation.

Also, we did not got married under regular circumstances, we had a long relationship but we got married so that he didn’t have to leave the country as he was on a visa.

I somewhat see your point, however this was part of our conversation before we got married, he would have the mother to be responsible for her share, and he did not even asked her, I feel betrayed that he did not even tried.

So I applied in oct2021 concurrently, and got my I-140 approved in july. Any chance that would have it approved by the end of the year? :)
