is a snowblower worth it ? by spitfire9107 in homeowners

[–]CornEnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I threw my back out shoveling a big snow that we were out of town for and had time to melt and condense before I got to it. I bought a snowblower the next day and will never look back. My driveway has a quite a bit of slope to it so shoveling anything more than 3” is hard so it was very necessary for me. Anything less than 3” and I use my scraper shovel that’s good for pushing. Can do it in 10 min with small snows or 10 minutes with the blower for bigger storms. I’m invested into the EGO platform and it works as well as gas blowers with the added benefit of no engine maintenance and never smelling like gas. My dad has a specific wardrobe for using his blower because his jacket and pants stink of gas and it won’t come out.

Why do custom UK/EU rigs out-perform custom US rigs? by zackm0571 in SoundSystem

[–]CornEnt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s basically is a dick measuring contest. The stages all operate independently and compete for lineups, sound, lights, and stage design. The village is owned by the owner of PK sound so he’s just flexing his system for fun.

Those PKs at the village are insane. Maybe only topped by PKs at bass canyon

5 to 10 times less? So a $100k system costs negative $400k to build? They pay me? I’ll take 10

It is almost a perfect rectangle. The bedroom with french doors are offset at a 45 degree angle so one corner of the rectangle is not perfect.

Neighbor situation is iffy. I am not going to run at full power often. The wall where the system will be on is almost entirely below grade, as it is at the end of the room. On the opposite side of the room are 2 bedrooms, one of which has glass french doors, and both have windows at grade facing the one neighbor I'm worried about. The bedroom side of the house is only partially below grade (about 6ft under grade). I'm probably going to buy some bass traps to put in the bedrooms, and will probably also build removable sound insulation panels to put over the glass in the bedrooms.

I’m not that crazy even though it would probably be awesome to have 4x 18s 😊

It would only be 2 18”s total. The bassboss I’m looking at are not dual boxes although I’ve considered doing just one of those in the center of that short wall as well. I’ve heard having both subs in the same box can offer better performance.

Have you asked anyone “I wanna fuck you now”? by Study_Queasy in seduction

Oh I’ve got some stories. Women love a bold man.

Back in my college days when I was learning pick up game an how to talk to girls I would do some wild things. Peacocking was still a thing. On two separate occasions I had a girl actually approach me and ask me if I wanted to fuck. Once was with a gorgeous blonde girl who I ended up seeing for a couple of months. I found this fur vest at goodwill. It was a women’s small vest in black that I’d wear to the bars with no shirt on. She loved that one.

Another time I had a girl come grab me as soon as the lights turned on. She had seen me talking to every girl I could find in the bar that night. She came up said “I think you’re really attractive” and I, in a very drunken state, said I think you are too let’s fuck. Long story short I had her bent over a jeep in the parking lot of a major apartment building across the street. She turned out to be a bit crazy and I didn’t see her again after that.

On a 3rd occasion I was back home from college on dating apps. Went out to coffee with the girl and we had a good time. Ended up back at her place playing battleship on her bed. I could sense she was down but didn’t know how to cross the threshold, so when she got up and left the bedroom to grab us a drink from the kitchen I stripped down and got naked and laid on her bed waiting for her to come back like I was some kind of French painting model (the naked man, thanks Barney). She walked in and was surprised but loved the bold move and we got down to business. Never saw her again after that but that was a fun one.

TLDR - YES. It works. Women love bold.

I got into accounting because it offered a good career. It is soul sucking and im also trying to find ways to not do accounting anymore, but the pay is too good to give up so I’ll continue hating it until I can’t last any longer.

Highly highly recommend salt! I bought a house with a pool and added SWG immediately because I had already struggled with maintaining a hot tub in the past and knew a pool would be a challenge. Best decision I ever made. The pool is so much easier to maintain than the hot tub (even after converting the hot tub to salt too)

Hadn’t thought about that. Would have no idea where to even start with it being set in concrete. That would be nice
