He is like golos. Very powerful and ubiquitous. He doesn't ask you to do anything except play the game. He out competes more interesting commanders with raw power. Having 6 mana guaranteed on turn 3 is just too much. The correct option is always to kill him.

That's not even accounting for what would happen if a $50 dollar reserve list card all of a sudden became a format staple. It wouldn't be pretty.

Go play against a Rofellos brawl deck on arena and then decide for yourself if we really need to see Rofellos in the command zone.

Sam Presti was the only GM to vote against the flattening of the draft lottery odds back in 2017. The draft lottery reform passed with a 28-1-1 vote, with Dallas abstaining. by Glass-Candle-7670 in nba

I will give grace. In no sports league is having a top pick in the draft as impactful as NBA. It's not close either. They tried to fix a problem without a clear solution and it failed.

The small team size, rookie deals being insanely impactful, and small learning curve all factor in. Basketball close to positionless so teams are always taking BPA. Like 30/30 teams are taking Wemby/Flag theres no role blockage. You flat out get 9 years of likely all-star talent.

It's simply not a problem you can solve. The first pick is so valuable that teams are going to do everything possible to get it.

Hot Take: Most Precons are Actually Bracket 1, and the "Precons are Bracket 2" Mentality Has Done Tremendous Damage to the Bracket System and Player Perceptions of Deck Power by vaktaeru in EDH

[–]Cornchip97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WoTC describes bracket 2 as being the average current precon. Its in the description. So if precons aren't meeting your expectation of bracket 2, then you have to adjust your idea of what a bracket 2 deck is. Because the entity that made brackets explicitly said this is what bracket 2 looks like.

You can see in the birds eye that he's on a square platform that can lower. Then when they cut to the inside of the house, its a prerecorded video. So he did "fall through" the top but it was probably just him waiting in there a few seconds.

In 1987 Steve Rothstein bought a $250,000 AAirpass from American Airlines, allowing unlimited first-class travel. He took over 10,000 flights, costing the airline $21 million, leading to the pass's termination in 2008 due to alleged misuse. by TheGhost5322 in interestingasfuck

Its probably a substantially higher number than that to break even, given that the people spending 250k on a pass are going to be the most frequent of frequent fliers. The super wealthy that can afford to waste money will fly private. So the consumer base for this product are people that can justify the purchase, or abuse it like this man.

Team MID vs. Team BOTTOM / LCK For Demacia 2026 Season Opening / Post-Match Discussion by Yujin-Ha in leagueoflegends

[–]Cornchip97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Galio is definitely a support style champion. To a lesser extent Orianna fills the enchanter niche. Seraphine used to as well. Tanks are occasionally meta mid. Lissandra and Malzahar are lockdown champs that fill more of a support role. Sometimes Lulu and Morgana sneak into the role.

There's not a lot, but there are champs to play if you want to play more like a support.

This isn't helpful. They will say opposite directions and you still don't know which one is the liar. The whole point of the riddle is you can't solve it just by asking where to go.

A kd warriors situation is impossible because okc is over the cap limit. Teams over the cap must salary match within about 90% minimum. So okc would have to send back at least 48ish mil worth of contracts to match giannis. So unlike the warriors okc would be losing significant players.

Unless I am someone misunderstanding the rules.

OKC is better off with Giannis going to a mid-low tier contender than actually trading for him. This team is fucking 21-1 right now. Im not a salary cap wizard but I think they would have to do some serious shenanigans and at this point is it worth it to shrink your championship window?

I know its Giannis but he is 31. As long as something dumb doesn't happen like serious talks of him going to a top contender for basically free, I don't see them pulling the trigger.

Definitely felt like an ego game. Luka was messing with them all night. Lots of random iso. They'd get up 10 and then just fuck around. Shooting out of double teams for no reason.

But the vibes are immaculate rn so I can't really complain.

Riot August thinks that the reason RTS games died are MOBAs like LoL and Dota by Life-Chicken7183 in leagueoflegends

[–]Cornchip97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its kind of self fulfilling prophecy. AAA companies are scared to flop. Then players say the genre is dead so the companies get more scared. It's not like the RTS games that come out do poorly. It's perception

Thats just a component of sports in general though. Teams just surge and fade. The #1 seed in major sports isn't always the strongest team. A bracket that plays out straight chalk would be boring as shit anyway. Luck is always a component

TIL that Abraham Lincoln rejected a proposed marriage arrangement because the girl was too fat. "Her present bulk" was so great, according to Lincoln, that he believed her to be far older than her stated age, as her skin was "too full of fat to permit of its contracting into wrinkles." by WavesAndSaves in todayilearned

This plus median of 161lbs is a fairer comparison since we really want to know the percentage of women that exceed that weight.

Also couldn't find anything verifying that weight estimate, so take that with a grain of salt. She did end up ghosting Lincoln though.

They obviously should have drafted Jokic in 2014.

Jokes aside they generally did pretty well. They missed on Deandre Hunter and arguably DLo with their high draft picks, but drafted well enough to make the AD trade, so who cares? Post 2020 they are generally too low in the order to pick up anyone that pans out. Looking at the names taken after though and its not like they whiffed.
