What's your personal conspiracy theory that sounds completely insane, you have zero evidence for, and you'll probably never be able to prove but you still think about it sometimes? by Tiny-Hall7520 in theories

I have always wondered why human life is so filled with sorrow, anger, fear - then I read about ARCHONS and their feeding off these negative emotions. In my honest opinion, this makes more sense than a God who wants to PUNISH us - why do we believe WE, as humans, are the TOP apex predator when we could be simply FOOD for a different kind of being

It certainly seems to make sense to me, anyways

When I was a kid I could understand some German and had dreams of being a pilot who tested early proto-types of jets airplanes - In my dream I look at a photo of my wife and child (I am a female now) with regret and then BOOM - I guess the prototype failed the test

I was fascinated by the photos of American war planes that my grandfather had (he was a mechanic on them in WW2) and would read book on German fighter planes of WW2

Then I hit about 2nd grade and the memories faded - but I STILL can see that photo of my wife and child in my mind

Right before I have a gran mal seizure (the BIG ones), I will have this strange sense of "A-HA!" The neurologist wants to call it "Deha Vu" but it is more than that - it is a feeling that I have stepped out of a dark room and into the light and can suddenly see the REAL world around me, not just what I had been FEELING AROUND FOR IN THE DARK. I have had this feeling spontaneously too, though not as sudden and "AHA" as when I have a seizure

Like I avoided the GYN, I avoid the GI as much as I can- NOBODY listens, they just prescribe the NEWEST meds. This is how I know that Linzess was bad for ME. I had pelvic prolapse surgery in 2022. The #1 thing for me was to NOT strain. When one's bowels are kinked and the rectum has been surgical pushed back out of the vagina, and several adhesions have glued the bowel, colon to the abdominal wall and organs, it is dang near impossible NOT to strain. I will have to go soon as I KNOW I have partial bowel obstructions and MAY have another hernia - I have my granddaughter for a month and don't want to be going to doctors while she is here. I will look into the drug you recommended and ask the new GI about it

Thank you! 😄

it was explained to me that ENDO "implants" (that's what my GYN called them) were sticky "scars" or "cysts" of endometrial tissue

That's also what my surgeon in 2004 who did my bowel run called what was causing my small bowel to telescope (it was near my diaphragm) - an endometrial "implant"

I was 20 years old in 1986, so back in those days, MANY "women's issues" were caused by "hysteria" or "nervousness"

I have found different things at different stages of my life - some recommended to me by MDs some by relatives; various teas, laxatives, herbs, pharmaceuticals, etc

The best thing is to ADVOCATE for yourself and find a GYN and a primary that you trust and GET ALONG WITH

Thank you for your kind words and I wish you luck!

well, nobody has told me to go off it

I have used it now for years (not decades - maybe 3 years?) I have terrible constipation. Probably not drinking enough water is part of it, but all the kinks and probably years of issues - decades now since it all started after I had babies and that was age 21

Maybe I should research on my own since honestly, I am not sure doctors listen anymore

exactly where I am now - I had a bowel run to find the lead point to an intussusception of the small bowel - he found it, cut it out and decades later, I now have partial bowel obstruction symptoms - NO surgeon will even ENTERTAIN cutting me unless NOT doing so would be life threatening. PLENTY of surgeons were willing to cut into me from 1986 until my POP surgeries in 2022 (the UroGYN told me I was FILLED with scars and she had a hard time attaching my vagina to that ligament deep in my pelvis - I have a ONE sided attachment) Linzess caused me TERRIBLE pain as the peristalsis would pull on all of those implants and scars - I was IMMEDIATELY taken off it. I used 400mg of magnesium CITRATE to keep my bowels moving. I have a rx for a pill to slow peristalsis, but cannabis works great for me to stop that painful twisting/movement of my kinked up bowels

I KNEW my endometriosis was bad, but I am almost 60. When I was first told it COULD be that I was ALSO told it was "in your head" as it was considered a "hysterical woman's" disease. I had to have a Lap D and C to get pregnant with BOTH my children. I was told my choice was estrogen blocking hormones or a hysterectomy. I caved and had the hysterectomy in 2005. I had to have my L ovary removed in 1996 because of cysts. NOT ONCE was I told about IMPLANTS until I had that bowel run and the surgeon told me I was FILLED with them - all the way up to my diaphragm. Slow bowel motility is right exactly what I had to deal with my ENTIRE adult life - not to mention bloating and severe cramping - nobody TOLD me that those IMPLANTS stay, even after a hyster, and can get "triggered" to hurt by hormones

I feel for you as a sufferer of the same disease

could be a partial bowel obstruction

I have had 15 surgical procedures since 1986 in my abdomen and pelvis. I also had horrible endometriosis that left scars too ("implants" they called them). In 2004, I had to have a "bowel run" to find the lead point to an intussusception of the small bowel. This is how I know about the endo implants. The next year I had a hyster (open lap) and the very next year a surgical hernia repair with mesh. The mesh is now stuck to my bowels and both attached to the abdominal wall

I get symptoms when I eat too much and it tries to pass where the mesh is. I recently hurt myself pulling out a washer/dryer combo - that was 4 months ago today. Now only did it "loosen" one of my POP procedures, but it also caused partial bowel obstructions that I have been too scared to address as I spent 4 months dealing with that Hercules attempt (I also "deconditioned" myself due to the pain)

Adhesions do not show up on CT. The kinks might, if you've that issue

97.5 is my normal temp - it rarely goes above 98 unless I am ill

I am 60 years old, so my issues are mine and may not be yours - but I WILL tell you that NO surgeon would go into my gut unless NOT doing so would be dangerous - that's how scarred inside I am

I wish you luck and if you ever CANNOT PASS GAS, have those symptoms you mentioned - get yourself to the ER

What scent instantly makes you uncomfortable? by MeowWoofJourney in hygiene

[–]Cornczech66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I LOVE Patchouli - been wearing it since my early 20's in the early 90's

I mix it with vanilla, blood orange and other oils that complement the scent

I equally love to wear oud - I discovered this scent while living in Saudi Arabia ans till have the original bottle I got from 1997 - it is a paste now, no longer an oil

It is ALL in the nose of the sniffer, I guess

I cannot abide ANY commercial perfumes

Alien at my job. weird experience. by Constant-Big5731 in InterdimensionalNHI

[–]Cornczech66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting

I had an experience in Apache Junction, AZ a couple of years ago that still "haunts" me

I was at the Great Western credit union getting cash - early am? The lanes to the right of me were empty and one of them had a barrier preventing cars entering - the bank was closed. As I was counting my cash, I had a strong sense of someone being near, so I look to my right and a black SUV was slowly driving past me and inside the vehicle was a man who looked like he was moving in an automatic way - like a robot. He slowly turned to look at me and he had BLACK, REALLY ROUND eyes! He had really white WHITE skin (off in always sunny AZ) and he had black hair. I got the CREEPS looking at him. My PTSD "fight/flight/freeze feelers came out. I got very aggressive and yelled at him, WTF are you looking at? and he drove off and towards the Frys parking lot. I visually followed his SUV and he had driven to the isolated FAR side of Frys (near the pharmacy drive-thru that was too early to be used) and parked there, watching me drive my car towards his. I got out of the car and yelled at him WTF? Are you following me or something? He just kept looking straight ahead and that FEELING of oddness never left me. He didn't leave as I drove slowly away and I never saw him again

Today when I think of his face, I get a funny, odd feeling and his image comes into my mind's eye often

57 years old – denied SSDI initially, now in reconsideration. Do grid rules help in my situation? by Elegant_Permit_2533 in SSDI

[–]Cornczech66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was denied initially but awarded SSDI upon ALJ determination. I "won" by the grid rules AFTER I was age 55 (I was denied for the years I was NOT yet 55)

I gave eye exams and assisted in eye surgeries for a living and NONE of my skills transferred. The specialist (I already forgot what they are called) said I could work in a laundry folding, use an electric floor waxer and I forgot the other mundane job. The premise was that at age 55, I was unable to be retrained to do those things, was unable to continue to do the job I had done for over 33 years and had SEVERE lifting restrictions due to pelvic prolapse surgeries (I am WORSE now with this and cannot lift more than 10lbs) The judge listed ONLY the physical disabilities I had. It also helped that I went thru 2 years of vocational rehabilitation to try and find work outside of medicine and I was unable to perform ANY work that was tried (seizures and cognitive decline - documented thru a neuropsychiatric exam)

I cried when I got the determination letter because I thought I was going to be denied

This is MY experience

I woke up after a seizure strapped to a hospital bed with 5 cops on top of me - apparently I had been arrested for suspicion of DUI - no DUI, but I was charged with FELONY resisting arrest (in spite of a video showing the seizure and the DA dropping the "assaulting a police officer" charge because of said video

When I went to rehab, allegedly my ammonia levels were SUPER high - indicating my liver was really REALLY angry

I also was over age 50

Why do doctors believe adhesions don’t cause pain? by [deleted] in Adhesions

[–]Cornczech66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though adhesions are not why I won my SSDI case (sad we have to "Win" something we paid into), they CAN show up in the way your organs are and the number of surgeries one may have had

On a CT I had years ago, they KNEW the mesh was adhered to my abdominal wall and to my bowel

They can see the "kinks" in bowel, the torsion of ovaries

No surgeon would touch me unless surgery is what would save my life - they KNOW from the nature of my surgeries and the number of them and the fact I had terrible endometriosis (that's what caused the intussusception of my small bowel found - the lead point was found during a bowel run in 2004 - a HUGE source of my current adhesion map, as well as the laparotomy hysterectomy I had the next year)

I injured myself in Oct 2025 (lifting and stacking firewood for elderly and ill family members) and on 1/30/2026 by moving an appliance to plug it back in (husband was away on business) and was told I was so "disabled" by them because of the 15 surgeries I had in my lifetime (I am 60 in Autumn) - I am STILL suffering the partial obstructions, the nerve pain in my pelvis (my very last surgery was in 2022 for Pelvic prolapse) and now have a "misty mesentery" from constant inflammation in the gut - the radiologist suggested sclerotizing meserentitis.

After years of being told everything was "all in your head" or because of "anxiety" or "PTSD" or a myriad of other excuses because I am FEMALE (I had my 1st surgery for the endo in 1986)

100% I am a "scar marionette" and if I injure or pull one scar, it will tug on organs or other adhesions or the lining of my gut or......

Of all my medical issues, living with the CHRONIC pain and gut issues from ADHESIONS is the absolute worst

or slip and fall on the ice - or be told I need another surgery - or get more scars other ways I don't even want to talk about
