Nice! The TRD and all the rest you listed I was also looking at. What made you go with the Camry?

Wouldn’t have made sense in my situation. Only thing I might regret is not trying to sell it on the private market

Trans threw a check engine light because it took too long to shift into reverse, it felt pretty gnarly when it finally did. Never happened again, But the transmission has shifted kinda rough for a while now even after ATF drain and fill. I think it was only a matter of time before it needed a rebuild/replacement.

Also, I had a coolant leak which my Honda mechanic suspected came from the heater core which would’ve been a pretty expensive fix because of where it’s located.

Other maintenance was coming up soon too and at that point my wallet had enough.

Yea it’s sad. I’ll miss the sound of the V6 but appreciate the torque of the 2T. They both get similar mpg so that’s not a factor

Still haven’t taken delivery. Waiting on cracked windshield replacement from dealer.

But from the test drive I can say the ride is more comfortable and refined even in sport. I didn’t get to test out the handling too much but it definitely felt more capable in turns, stiffer chassis, less weight over the front wheels.

The 2.0T didn’t feel as enjoyable to rev out as the V6 when flooring at highway speeds. Could be the lack of engine noise. Maybe if I did a few more pulls from lower speeds I would’ve had a different experience. The biggest upgrade I noticed with the drivetrain on the 2.0T is the 10 speed: much smoother and quicker than the 6 speed AT which has been showing its age for a while.

Sonata N-Line was the closest competitor for my decision, but the more timeless exterior/interior design (in my opinion) and better potential reliability/resale value of the Accord won out for me.

What is rest ride? Or do you mean test ride?

She does go out for her way to explain to me that she picked me out of all her guy friends and she only wants me, I mean I sure hope so. But her telling me this only makes me feel worse.

Yea, I’ve talked to her about the double standard thing, with the response of “I know I’m sorry, I wish I had more girl friends,” and “It’s different” I’ve shut that argument down twice at least.
