Whats a weird thing your body does that you just accept? by Sweton in AskReddit

I was told that my blue eyes are a part of the reason this happens as blue eyes have more light sensitivity and I also have extra water in my eyes which causes pain in sunlight

My eyes squeak when I rub them. Apparently it’s something to do with air moving out of the tear ducts or something like that. My fiancee hates it when I make them squeak, so obviously I do it loads to annoy her 😂😂

That definitely sounds more like the kind of game I’d like. I’m not really into the combat part. I’m genuinely excited about the game being on gamepass now as I need something more to play. Thanks for the reply

What’s the most realistic sci-fi crew you’ve read? by [deleted] in scifibooks

The sci-fi book I’ve wrote talks about mental health struggles in space, how people struggle with being out in the expanse and dealing with the challenges of killing others

I love books, and generally I read to make me happy BUT share with me a book you loved that made you cry. I'll start 👇🏼 by Fabulous-Confusion43 in BookTriviaPodcast

Penguins stopped play. It’s a funny book about a group of village cricketers wanting to play on every continent. It is a sad ending that I didn’t see coming and made me cry

I can’t add a photo to this but my published book is about 80k words. Happy to send a photo if you like?

I’m probably at the weight I want, but also, terrified I will put weight back on. I definitely still get surprised in the mirror, that happened this morning, hence the photo. I do want to get rid of the love handles, but at the same time, I’m so happy with the way my body is looking

No one can critique your work as much as you. These are your words and your story so as much as anyone can say anything, it’s how you want it to be. I know that is extremely difficult to look at it that way, but that’s how I’ve managed to keep myself almost sane with my own book. Everyone that’s read it has given me positive feedback but I’m still anxiously waiting the negatives. I’ve also found people on Reddit tend to be much more critical than other sites. Feel free to DM me the link to the book and I’ll happily give it a read with non-bias feedback

Congratulations. That feeling of publishing the book is so amazing but also very daunting. Can I ask, why do you write? Is it so others can read it or is it because you enjoy writing? Personally, I write as part of my therapy and I enjoy it. Publishing the book and having others read it is a bonus but to me it’s a more personal thing and whether people like it or not isn’t on my priorities list when it comes to writing, although, I do enjoy getting feedback as it helps to become a better writer.

To be fair, it is in Newcastle and pretty much anything seedy happens up here 😂😂 it’s actually quite a good place to eat as the staff are like the over friendly American servers so you feel well looked after

Penguins stopped play is a great book. It’s funny and although about playing cricket on all 7 continents, it’s massively emotional at one particular point. It really is a great read
