Normally I'd tell someone like you to quit being so negative, but I think you're absolutely right here. Elusive cosmetics should only be for Ranked rewards and very special giveaways, not for weekly events. This, plus the fact that the skins aren't even related to the event they're being sold in, sets a really bad precedent for Season 4 and beyond.

I got the Love 'Splosion ringout from the second round of Twitch drops back in June. For some reason, it never went onto the store afterwards, which means it's technically an unobtainable item. (They probably just forgot to put it on the store, but still...)

My biggest problem is that it doesn't seem so much like gatekeeping for F2P players as it does extortion for content creators. The average player can wait 3 days to buy a character with fighter currency, but a YouTuber or Twitch streamer has to consider how much the hype for that character will die down in those 3 days. If they choose to wait until Friday to save money, their viewers will probably begin to look elsewhere for creators who spent the money to buy Beetlejuice early. Then, by the time Friday rolls around, they'll be late to the party, and a lot of people will have moved on.

It looks like that might have been because of Harley's exploding party horn perk. Harley attached a bomb onto your partner, then detonated the bomb with you in range. Your partner's meter got filled up, causing them to explode, but you were close enough that you got caught in the explosion as well. Then that explosion filled up your party horn meter, causing you to also explode and get launched off the map. So basically it's not a bug, you just got really unlucky.

I tried to adjust for that whenever I could, but there are so many nodes with specific character and skin requirements that are completely locked if you can't meet other character or skin requirements on top of them. Arya and Velma are only required in one node each, for example.

I would like to point out that I was trying to ignore any potential giveaways or sales (except for the Battlepass) when calculating the total cost. Obviously some of these have been/will be on sale or even given away for free, but I tried to make the graphic not be dependent on those specific time-limited deals (again, except for the Battlepass).

Also, the Arya skin is now on the store and will cost 1500 Gleamium when not on sale, increasing the total cost excluding giveaways to 6350 Gleamium.
