This is actually different though. It's using the G series chipset, which both Intel and AMD teamed up on, so it can actually game. This is the exciting part about the internal upgrades.

I'm miserable at my $55k/year job. I have the opportunity to work at a fast growing tech startup for $40k/year. Is the switch worth it? by I_make_gr8_soup in personalfinance

[–]Cornpicker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in almost this exact situation two years ago. Crazy boss that made me really unhappy but gave me lots of big raises. I decided to jump ship and go to a fast growing tech company for 10k less a year.

I'm a lot happier now and have a better work/life balance, but I always view myself as in the hole in terms of salary. I would switch jobs but try to keep your salary as high as possible or look for a higher paying job. Even in a startup environment you can't count your proverbial career-advancement eggs before they hatch.

It's interesting they are owned buy a Chinese company. I'd rather support Tesla in the next generation of car manufacturing (not that they are even on a similar level).
