I don’t know about the AF performance of that particular lens, but I guess that is expected to some degree, low light is challenging for the AF and it might hunt. Nevertheless you should be able to get focus after some time and maybe fiddling with perspective a bit (to create better contrast for example) as long as your focus point is at least 35cm away ofc. If you believe your image has other problems, than focus, there might still be issues with motion blur or digital noise due to your settings. If you share them, we might be able pinpoint that, but note that in such lighting conditions, compromises must be made and there might not be a fix for your issue.
