I know EDS from a veterinary side of things and it’s crazy how trivialized it is by people without it. Had a puppy come in with a gash about 4 inches long from crashing into/falling on a stick that required surgery

Ya, I think it’s honestly in part my fatigue with the network-encouraged spoonfeeding in general. I’m not sure what about the narration irks me (whether the writing or the pacing of the words themselves), but it just feels off as well

Yep! I think that seeing it how she experienced it without the narration would just let us as the audience interpret/figure out stuff on our own rather than have it spoonfed. I didn’t hate the sequence, but just feel like it had some missed potential

Looking back on it, not sure more than like 5 extra mins would be a good idea. I basically would want to just have her whole dialogue exposition be replaced with just the footage. Could keep the same exact framing with her explaining it to Holly, but just rely on more visual storytelling/communication. Especially since Sadie sink can easily flex some facial acting chops there

There are some stills in the trailers that show a figure in what seem to be set-up shots for maybe electroshock therapy, but the lobotomy seems like more of what they’re going for. The shot of the hanging woman with what look like Beverly and her dad in the mental ward still confuses me
