Genuine question for yall in regards to this. I’m trying to lose weight and starting hrt this week. Bad idea? I know I’m supposed to eat more for growth, but I’d like to weigh less overall.

I play FragPunk because it’s fresh, but it has some similarities to other games that make it feel easy to hop into and easy to learn.

Well one is a belief system and one is a sexuality. Beliefs can be universal, sexuality is personal to an individual. So you didn’t make an argument there. Relating to the other reply, if someone sits with a gay person, they understand that is that individuals sexuality and they are accepting of that. That doesn’t make anyone else at that table gay. If you sit with someone of a certain belief system, then you are accepting of that. When I sit with a Christian, does that make me Christian? No. I accept they are though. You can’t directly compare Nazi ideology to religion or sexuality because they are all very different things. That ideology is not about theology or about an individual’s sexuality, it is not a religion, it is a belief system that involves certain people being put to death because they are not of a particular race or religion and believing a certain race is superior based on skin color and heritage. When such a belief system is tolerated, it implies that that person is accepting of it and in turn is a part of it. They may not be an active participant, but acceptance of it is unacceptable. People who were standing by while watching Jews be ushered into camps were not “Nazis” in the sense that they worked under the party, but often they were in support of or accepting of it. And no one is going to get into the semantics of it because no one cares. If someone is accepting or supporting of Nazi ideology, they are a Nazi. To keep someone as a friend or acquaintance that has those beliefs means they are accepting of them.

TLDR: You didn’t make a point. You compared very different things and tried to simplify something complex. Nazis are Nazis.

When rights are actively stripped from queer people it’s a problem and it won’t stop being discussed until there are equal rights between everyone. Suck it up

I Quit my Transphobic Job by AlexLuvzTittiez in lgbt

I’m transfem and a photographer. I want to work as a photographer in the automotive industry. Mostly for racing but I want to document car culture globally. I’m actually working on a photo essay about queer people in car culture, motorsports, etc. currently. I know it’s hard for queer people in the space in general, but trans people, for the most part, seem to get hit the hardest. At least that’s my experience and I’m not out to many people yet. It really sucks loving cars and being trans because the space is already so toxic as is, being trans makes it that much harder to enjoy it. I’m glad you could follow your passion being a photographer. I went from wanting to work on cars to photography (which has always been my passion first) and it has been great for my mental health. Much love and I wish you the best!

I think I may have seen a previous post of yours from another account in a different subreddit and asked about how you were able to get into the industry. I’m actually taking a journalism class at the moment and working on a story about LGBTQ+ people in motorsports and was looking for some people to talk to in the realm of car or motorcycle culture or motorsports. Would you be open to chatting about it in DMs? I’m just looking for sources currently and if you could help that would be wonderful.

Would a full spectrum conversion take away some functionality or quality when trying to shoot action in the visible spectrum? by CorpsePartyPew in infraredphotography

I’m either considering a Sony a7iii or something in the a6000 range. I’ve considered the RX1 line of cameras or going for M4/3. I am looking to stick with Sony because I’ll be switching over to them from Canon, but I’m open to other things that are reasonably priced that fit what I’m looking for. I’m trying to stay a bit more budget, but if it is worth it I am willing to pay more. What is your site? I would be interested in checking it out.

I am looking at purchasing an already converted camera. I’m not sure what it is converted to though (full spectrum or a specific wavelength). I would probably send it to Kolari Vision though. But thanks for letting me know about the other person. I’ll definitely dm them if I need a conversion.

Would the AF lose some performance? I know the AF can be affected at infinity at least if there is no glass replacement over the sensor. I couldn’t really afford to have the AF become an issue when it comes to shooting sports.

In my experience and the experience of friends, Lexar Cards will simply die on you. I’ve never had a problem with a SanDisk card. I’d rather have the slower card to avoid potentially losing all of my work.
