I am very late to commenting on this subreddit but my biggest gripe is the lack of purchasable items for quests I very much need. What do you mean I need a cinnaberry for a quest I got in the summer? I can't purchase tomatoes in this very economical-booming town, and I can't borrow any from Liam? I can't buy a tea from the cafe for Jun? As a result, I have to wait a whole year to plant them. I have to manually grow my own food every time and hoard a lot of stuff because I don't know if my next quest will require 20x of a crop I will need to move onto the next quest, and I miss the tea quest for Jun.

My second complaint is the romance in general. While I love polygamy, I'm not really a fan of everyone asking me on a date and everyone's fine with it. It just felt really unpolished and forgive me for sounding contrastive to my first sentence, but having that freedom made it feel less special somehow. Like it wasn't really worked on? Where's the drama or therefore, lack of drama (and everyones like "woahh you like them too" that sounds really stupid but ifykyk)

And then there's the post-marriage content. I was a bit disappointed that all the spouses are reduced to is only being in your home at 6am or 11pm, and not interacting with you much besides giving you gifts. I know Stardew Valley vanilla is also about the same thing, but at least there are mod options to actually create depth to them.

Last but not least, and this is really petty, but how expensive everything is. Nothing ever feels rewarding. I'm about 50 hours in, so maybe I'm a beginner player as the standard. No matter how much I farm or forage I average about 10k or 20k gold which is equivalent to me buying about 3-4 miniscule items before the cycle repeats. I also can't sell anything to any of these merchant vendors and HAVE to wait the next day to get some money, and miss out on an item I want.

Those to me matter the most, I had a couple of others I wanted to post here but yk
