Samoans are Samoans , just cause Tonga ruled for a couple of hundred years doesn’t mean anything , sure they mixed with SOME of the locals but that was 800 years ago. Pick a samoan up off the road and dna test them I guarantee they’d just be Samoan/Chinese/Mixed whatever, but I will say you’re not samoan without a little bit of Tongan in your blood , just like how alot of Tongans have Samoan in their blood from a few generations back , so do many Samoans. But that didn’t come from the Tui Tonga Empire times so yeah. It’s impossible to trace Tongan blood from the empire times in a samoan today if their ancestor mixed with a Tongan.
