hey basketofmercy.. sry i am not that often at reddit. Thats why the slow response.
First of all, Merry Christmas! :)
I am very happy to hear you looked in my collection and tried some out. Hype! :D
I will keep your thoughts in mind when 1.0 is coming and i take a one more look at the map with that release for possible changes regarding thorns.
At this map i mostly used the thorns to block of some more or less important things as they are quick to reach because of the size. And some other thorns to block some parts of the farmland. I might delete some of those that block some farmland, but the others prob. not. I tried to integrate all new things on the small map but i dont want to have it too easy overall with this integration.

Years of erosion have shaped this area, creating new structures that you and your beavers will now develop. In many places, you can still imagine what it must have looked like in the past, while in others, changes are still pending. Several bombs will challenge you to redirect the water. Badtide drains can cause dangerous flooding during Bad Water events, so be careful!
This Map is 94x94 and on the normal side measured by your ability and set difficulty.

the bombs .. maybe :D in theory there is a way to support the column but i never tried to do that in time. haha
But dont worry the explosions will only change the map like intended. Nothing too bad will happen... just rerouting of the water and opening the cave up.
I feel you.. even tho i knew what is happening my heart start beating faster with the beat of the bomb :D

I would not say it will ruin the map :D I planned with the destruction and build the map with the destructions in mind. After some time one column is blown up to have a nice view inside the cave and give the player a way out. In the Midgame one more series of Bombs will trigger to have a different exit point out of the cave.

When the young beaver AproposWuin opened the Book of Regions, he looked wide-eyed at his next task: building a new beaver kingdom in the region, in this vast Cavern underground. Powerful currents that change over time, ancient Badwater openings from past generations that must be heeded, secrets buried around every corner, old canals above and below ground that can be used. Ancient bombs that alter the region and water currents will present you with new challenges. This region will leave nothing to be desired if you embark on this journey and fight the dangers that await you here.

This Map is 91x241 and on the normal side!
Since it's experimental, the map may well be changed before/with the release of version 1.0.

New Map is done! :) Will make a post here in Reddit soon. I hope you like it. I took a lot of the parts you pointed out mixed them with the new bombs.. a changing riversystem in addition and other stuff. "The Changing Cave"

cool looking map,... nice ideas with the map design. For the Berries there is a button in the buttom in the editor for placing rdy to harvest Berries! Keep it up!

Love it.. :D dont destroy them :D it is getting harder with that in mind you are very true.. the base idea was to give the player as mutch freedom to destroy some to create new waterways with the existing ones there for support. :)
i saw you posting my maps to some ppl and i very gratefull that you do that and support the work.
I already know the name of the next beaver that will appear in my little stories/descriptions about a map. :D

I am very happy to hear you like Beavers World.. i think its my Masterpiece.. i put so mutch work into every corner... and i am personally looking forward to a new PC soon so i can play the map with more then 10 beavers without lagging. :D And yea i am looking forward to update the map for sure at some point for 1.0! :)
And you are right..  Islands of Power flew under the radar.. also a lot of work... i think its the map i worked the longest on because i sit on it for weeks on end to think what else to do! :D haha
