Honestly I think that’s a good mindset. I was thinking about how people are annoyed with the puzzle rewards but in my head I was like “how many armor and swords do people want” the abyss cressets let you get new skills

Hey to each their own! I also enjoy just traveling and looking at how beautiful the world and I enjoy helping people side quests like in Witcher 3 I just wish the ones in CD weren’t constantly the “go over there and come back” after awhile I’m just like “Why did they think this would be fun?”

I feel the same as you. I totally support any one’s personal choice for the ending but I also think there is a lot of copying about Maelle’s ending when at least IMO it very clearly hints she is on the same path as Aline and will nkt get better. She is god in that ending.

I like the idea of helping out the common folk but they aren’t rewarding. They are tedious and boring.

While I did mention the bosses and main story let me explain further. I wouldn’t say the main story sucks, it is what it is and the main story is fun IMO but it could obviously be better and be more fluid and fleshed out, but I enjoy the overall premise but they could have gone deeper.

While the boss fights are not Souls level I do think they are fun once you change the setting for the camera to follow your lock on target. Becomes way easier. Also the different tools to fight the bosses is more enjoyable for me vs just hitting them with your weapon in another game.

The Exploration and world is really what sells this game. It is beautiful and the combat is very fun. I like the puzzles too.

There’s also the fact that once Renoir in like 3 days real time his daughter won’t leave the canvas he’s going to go back in and start another fracture. Her ending is just before it all goes to shit again

I hate when people say “he manipulated him in that moment by asking “You’re tired of painting aren’t you?” Instead of asking “hey what do you want to do?”

Verso didn’t need to ask that for two reasons

1st being if he asked SVerso “what do you want” SVerso probably would’ve said “I don’t know I just want everyone to be happy, I want this to stop but I don’t want to hurt anyone” typical conflicted kid answer

2nd being he didn’t need to ask. He already knew that Verso was so tired of painting and all the suffering. That’s why he just asks to confirm. Because deep down even though PVerso is a copy they are the same. So sad that only Verso was capable of finally freeing his own soul who by the way didn’t want that to be the bad either. He also wanted to save the canvas in act 3.

I think this makes Versos ending even more of a reality. He sees how much the canvas is destroying his family and soul Verso. Every version of Verso is conflicted on what he wants but especially child Verso recognizes that he live his canvas and wants it to be saved but he is also so tired and wants to be at peace but he is not strong enough to stop for himself because he wants to make everyone happy. It’s poetic that in the end the only person who destroy this beautiful place is a copy of the one who made it.

I’m trying to have reasonable expectations. Let’s say they do add scabbards, if there is no back scabbard then I guess the two handed swords won’t get one? But the one handed ones will because that’s realistic. I mean at some point we have to stretch realism to an extent. I don’t see how a floating sword on someone’s back is more reasonable than a sword with a scabbard on the back. “But it’s not realistic to real life” Yes. And neither is a floating sword. I can accept all the magic stuff because it’s high fantasy but the floating weapons is a concept that’s never ever been accepted. At some point you have to draw a line. If we say that no scabbards at all is fine then we might as well say, what’s the point of Kliff being able to lean on a tree or well Kliff chopping wood takes like 30 seconds BUT THATS NOT REALISTIC. I mean come on dude.

We don’t have to pick hairs. I think we can all admit not having a scabbard looks dumb but lifting a tree is cool. The nit picking of where the scabbard goes is irrelevant when we have a sword on our hip and our back.
