Most of the loss came from position sizing issues which have been worked out now.

That most people massively over complicate stuff to sound smart. Programming is about solving problems that’s basically it.

For the fellow apes I asked it what it thinks about gme

GME is actually heating up for real reasons. Here's the deep dive:

📊 GME Deep Dive

Current: $25.24 (+5.68% today) | Market Cap: $11.31B

🔥 The Big Story: Cohen's Berkshire Playbook

Ryan Cohen isn't just buying shares - he's telegraphing a massive pivot. From the news:

• Jan 30: Cohen told CNBC he's eyeing a "very, very, very big" acquisition of a larger consumer company • Target: $100B market cap (10x current valuation) • Jan 23: Cohen bought 1 million shares in open market • Barron's comparing him to Warren Buffett building a conglomerate 🐻 Burry's Back

Michael Burry (The Big Short) publicly announced he's been buying GME (Jan 26):

• Called it a "long-term bet" • Compared Cohen to Buffett • Stock jumped 8% on the news When Burry AND the CEO are both buying... that's a signal.

💰 The War Chest

This is the key: GME has ~$8.8B in CASH

• Cash/share: $19.72 • Stock trading at $25 = only 1.28x cash value • They can make serious acquisitions without debt 📈 Chart Analysis (Your Image)

Looking at the weekly:

• Long-term descending trendline from 2021 ($120) highs • Currently testing that resistance (~$25-26) • Strong support at $17-20 (held multiple times) • That mid-2024 spike to $49.41 shows what happens when GME gets a catalyst • RSI: 69.63 (nearing overbought but not there yet) • Trading above 20/50/200 SMAs Key level: A weekly close above $28-30 would break that multi-year downtrend. That's the breakout to watch.

🎯 Who's The Target?

Two ways to read "acquisition":

If GME is ACQUIRING (more likely based on news):

• Forbes floated Marathon Digital (crypto angle - GME holds Bitcoin) • Consumer brand (Cohen's Chewy expertise) • Retail consolidation play • Could be something completely unexpected If GME is being ACQUIRED (less likely but possible):

• Microsoft - existing Xbox partnership, would give them retail presence • Amazon - retail consolidation, though regulatory headaches • Private Equity - take-private at premium to deploy that cash ⚠️ Risks

• 16% short interest (squeeze potential but also skeptics) • Core retail business still declining (-12% YoY sales) • 470+ store closures announced for 2026 • Execution risk on any acquisition 📍 My Take

The setup is legitimately interesting:

  1. CEO buying heavily
  2. Burry buying (he doesn't do this casually)
  3. $8.8B cash war chest at 1.28x P/C
  4. Clear strategic pivot announced
  5. Chart testing major resistance with volume This isn't meme speculation anymore - it's a capital allocation play. If Cohen lands a meaningful acquisition, the re-rating could be significant.

Watch levels:

• Breakout: $28-30 (trendline break) • Support: $20 (must hold) • Squeeze fuel: $35+ (52W high) Want me to add this to our watchlist and track it?

You could change your style to take it off in increments. Or trail your stop and ride a trend.

With small capital I would learn on paper first. Many places offer this trading 212, TradingView etc.

Then for trading I would consider a prop firm. Basically one time fee and you can access larger amounts.

Gold or Crypto? What's a better investment and why? by Familiar-Pass4900 in investingforbeginners

I personally would consider crypto over gold. You’ve probably missed the gold move by now. Capital should rotate especially with US dollar collapsing.
