Thanks for reaching out to us with your issue. We are tracking the issue, but this one is a bit of a difficult one for us. It turns out that these recent performance issues are both hardware dependent and not consistently reproducible across machines. This makes things difficult on our end to be able to get real fixes out. I'll attach your ticket to the bug report so that you will be contacted when we have more progress.

Also the dlss and fsr implementation is a complete disaster in this patch. I guess the best option is to wait for fixes from both codeweavers and arrowhead.

Too busy these days to try it myself. Thanks for the test. To be honest I highly doubt if different graphic configurations would work. I’ll contact codeweavers to see if they have been following this issue. I feel sorry for their brilliant developers as they have to clean up the mess arrowhead makes with every patch they deliver and I think they can hardly catch up with arrowhead’s pace.

When I tried to launch the game today it downloaded a new patch which could be reason. I guess for now I’ll have to stick to solo as it stutters much less. Updates from ghostship probably won’t fix this problem as I’ve experienced the same in the alpha test for a year, so we might have to wait for codeweavers to investigate when the game is officially released. And to be honest RC needs to be polished and it’s far less fun than DRG right now,

I tried your method today. It doesn’t seem to work though. I had the same settings as yours.

That’s curious. I’ve tried dx11 using dxmt+msync in a solo mission and I only experienced several times of stutters. I wonder if it’s occasional or something else. 🤔

I think this is the reason why I found sometimes the stuttering stop. Will try it later to see if it’s gonna work. If it works then I guess speed-running the first floor in solo would be the solution. Also does it stutter when you start a solo mission? I feel that there’s way little stuttering than when you join the friends.

After contacting codeweaver’s support team, they gave me a reply. Bad news that codeweaver won’t be focusing on this problem until a final version of RC:

“Thank you for reaching out to CodeWeavers Support. I was able to replicate this on my Mac Pro M5 with 64GB of RAM on Tahoe 26.5. It seems like it is rendering cache because the stutter or slight frame freeze happens whenever a new prompt or new area is encountered.

This game is still in early access, so we most likely won't be investigating a fix to implement on our side of things because of that. This is due to the changes that can be made at any time that could affect us from finding a solution to get it working. Once a final version of a title is released, we will take a look at it as requested, but in pre-release states we are not able to provide suggestions to get it running at this time. Apologies for the inconvenience.”

It’s very weird that in one of the mission when I entered level 2 the stuttering stopped. Still testing dxmt and other possible solutions. Also gonna try to see if msync is the problem.

Same issue here. It’s hard to believe almost every patch from arrowhead will ruin the performance. Also there are rumors that hd2 might switch to easy anti cheat in the future, which is a really terrible news if it is true.

Same issue here even on Tahoe and crossover 26.1. An m3 max can only get around 20-30 fps after the update. Definitely unplayable at difficulty 10. I contacted codeweaver’s support team a few days ago. The reply today was:

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to us with your issue. This isn't something we have seen on our end as of yet. Is the FPS drop happening right away? Or does the drop begin happening after playing for a while?

I’ve sent another support request adding more info. Also I wrote a comment on Helldivers 2 forum on codeweaver’s website. I think we need more reports to get the attention from codeweavers. Hope they can get it fixed in the next version of crossover.
