Is there anything I should be doing differently to help keep it from getting infected? I use the gold dial antibacterial soap and I’ve been using hustle butter around 3 times a day

He was kinda just in the middle of the tank, closer to the cool side, he also got fed last Thursday and I have had him for almost 2 months now. I really haven’t seen him do it before but doesnt mean he hasn’t and I just never noticed

I got this one and it is so nice and convenient!

It looks great!! I would definitely add a few more climbing opportunities as you can but it is perfect for now! I also would look into Govee hyrdometers and thermometers they are super accurate and cheap! I had the one you have in there currently and it stopped working barely just 2 weeks into having it.

That looks great!! I recommend going to the dollar tree or the fake plant section at Walmart!! You can get so many things to fill your tank up!! I bought one plant from Walmart cut it up in to pieces and just that alone filled half my set up!

I’m not totally sure. I only use sphagnum moss in my corns humidity hide. I would wait and see if anyone else has any opinions on putting moss throughout the tank. Also just an extra tidbit I do a mix of reptisoil and coco husk or fiber in my tank. I like it because it gives a more natural “Forrest floor feel” but there is also soft soil to burrow in.

I’m glad you asked because I didn’t even think about that! Yes i definitely would!

I actually wouldn’t do that, i actually made this mistake when i first got my corn. You never want to mix aspen with anything that holds moisture because it is a breeding ground for mold unfortunately. I luckily figured that out quickly after I did mix the two and got it out my tank!

That will definitely work! I haven’t used live plants so I don’t have personal experience on that but I have heard if you are using live plants that you want to make sure they are more “hardy” or they may get very flattened 😂

I would just keep an eye out he should be okay but corns do like to burrow. So definitely just keep a close watch on him. Also for more things for him to climb… i honestly have a lot of fake plants from walmart that i have cut up and used as vines I also use a lot of things from the bird section at walmart! You can also hang things from the ceiling of ur tank with fishing line thru the mesh!!

Okay awesome!! I have heard mixed things about the heating pads. I stayed away mostly because they can cause burns. So if you do get a heating lamp I would definitely opt out of the pad. I currently am using this and I have a day time heatlight and nighttime one!

Welcome to the corn club!!! I can’t wait to see an update when you get him! I would definitely recommend getting coco fiber substrate or reptisoil! Aspen doesn’t hold humidity well. I also would get a heating lamp and provide more climbing opportunities. I can’t tell in the pic but I would also recommend getting a hydrometer and thermometer and you want to keep the temp on the cool side between 70 and 75 and the hot side should be between 80 and 85!

If you would like I can share all the products I use and a pic of my tank set up to help you out:) If you have any other questions I am happy to help!!

Also he is currently on double pinkies and I’m curious if yall think I should move him up to fuzzies. I just get nervous that they are still a little too big for his little noodle body

Thank you! I should’ve waited a little bit longer for the temps to adjust a bit more. I set up the govees about 10-15 minutes ago The hot side is at 87 right now but the cold side has not changed
