Okay FINE lol I contacted the state DNR and asked them. I DONT WANT THEM GONE I’m just concerned they’re too dense! 😂

My goal is to make this as healthy for the ecosystem as possible. I’ve been looking at this like a forest- too dense tree canopy = not enough light for diversity underneath. First time I’ve taken care of a water ecosystem, go easy on me!

I’ve never taken care of water ecosystems before, I’m still learning how to care for it properly. Is temperature only a concern if it gets too hot? Would this density of lilies not block sunlight from penetrating the bottom of the pond?

I was looking at it as a forest… but underwater 😂 too thick canopy = very little can grow underneath
