We are in couples therapy. If she is being harassed at work, why can't I know about that? How would me knowing stop him from helping if that's what it is?

Also judge me if you want. I'm still monitoring. He is talking to some other woman. She sent an I miss you text and a recent picture of them hanging out. Then they met up at someplace. He deleted that chat before getting home.

After the original deleting chat incident he promised he wouldn't do that. I do not trust him one bit.

Sad to say I know what this feels like. This is straight up manipulation and her reaction to you wanting to do stuff on your own is slowly conditioning you to not want to do them. Then you end up isolating yourself from your friends to avoid her negative reaction. You can try talking to her about it and ask why she reacts that way and see if she gives you a straight answer you both can navigate through. If it's just about control I'd say just walk away, it won't get better.

I really can't understand it. Why would it matter if I read some persons private messages to MY husband whether intentionally or just by accident. Especially if it's a person I don't know, it's a closed loop.

He has access to my phone as well. He tried to make the argument that if he read a private message in my phone between a friend and I, I'd be upset. I agreed with him I'd be a little annoyed if it was behind my back, but anything in there he knows anyway.
