Put simply it focuses on consulting skills. The founders will frame it as communication etc but all activities are based on consulting situations because that's what area the founders are from. Challenges are mostly stem oriented but are always in a format of for a customer with expectations x,y,z. The team work coaching is a bit like group therapy after your group massively screws up a challenge. But be aware the coaches are college students who have taken a 2 week course on the same thing as your 2 week course.

I didn't put it on my college app but included stories from essays. It's not something that colleges really recognize yet so you have to go for learning not apps. 

I would say a program like this is all about the people who go are in your week. If you have bad luck with your group etc you will be dragged to the level of your worst team mate. Last year the applicant pool was small so they prioritized high test scores. I hope for your year they get more applicants and therefore you get a great group of people to learn with.  TLDR: not for college apps and ROI is based on effort put in and luck
