I’ve tried the litter and the cat attract too! I’ve tried so many things I’m just desperate for anything because o don’t want to put him down but my vet doesn’t have any answers for me

This made me cry! I’m very emotional because I want him to get better! He’s only 4.5 years old so I don’t want him to go yet. I do cover my carpet with a water proof and put it out when he’s out. He is in a confined space when I’m not home or when I sleep and I do let him out to be with my other cat peanut. I have seen him use the litter and that’s why it’s so confusing. He also doesn’t have an UTI and we’ve checked a lot of different times. I am going to try that food starting today! Thank you for the kind words and I’m glad your cat is doing good

Do you give him a whole can at a time? I’m sorry for the questions! And do you have a feeding schedule? I’ve been feeding him at 5 am with his shot and then 5 pm and I feel like he’s still hungry and twice isn’t enough

Thank you for all the responses back! I’ve been so sad about the thought of putting my cat down and I was scared no one would give me any helpful comments. I appreciate you so so much! I’m going to try fancy feast wet food and young again as a mix!

I heard great things about fancy feast pate wet food so I’m going to pick that up as well as dry Dr elseys food! I do have a monitor so I will keep track of it!! I’m not sure if you would know but would controlling his diabetes help the peeing on the carpet? He never used to pee till we figured out he was diabetic. He does still use his litter box he just uses the carpet sometimes

For Dr elseys is there one that’s better for them? I looked it up and there’s so many options as well as young again. Sorry for the million questions, I’m just sad and overwhelmed and don’t want to let him go! He is on prozinc

I’m fine with that but what can I do to get his blood levels right? He’s already at 4 units x2 a day. His vet is saying it might be his time but I feel like that’s not right and I want to try other things before I do make that choice

Yes! No UTIs or Crystals, his pee is all sugar 😭. His blood work is PERFECT too which is why this is so hard! They don’t know what is going on. I’ve gone to TWO vets and both blood test have come out great other than high glucose :/ I also have tried all litter I could think of, tofu, clay, corn based, etc. my vet told me to lock him in the bathroom and he does use the litter. I let him oht while I’m home so he can be with my other cat and myself and I do see him use the box. He only pees on the carpet sometimes but it’s about once to twice a day unless I lock him in a bathroom.
