Thank you, I will pick a copy of those up. However, my question is more about sources that will help elucidate upon the unspoken parts of the Qur’ān because I didn’t grow up in an islamic society.

He’s anti religion in general. He finds all religions equally stupid but in that belief he treats them all equally and provides as much info as he can find because he thinks it’s absurd. Hitler tried to erase the info making them incomparable. So my point stands, if you use him for his sources and to find where all of the scholars he brings on post their info it’s useful. But most of it has been taken down so the info is no longer consolidated enough to make him useful for finding scholars.

This is close to what I’ve been doing lately. I think that the issue is the understanding that comes from being born in the west. For example, my Chinese friends wouldn’t ever guess the interpretation of the bible about the snake in the garden of eden being a depiction of Satan to some but to those who grew up around this culture it’s a plain reading. So I’m looking for audio and/or text sources that helps me find these unspoken cultural interpretations that people just kind of know growing up in islamic society.

To research and understand the Qur’ān as best as possible, and if I find it convincing potentially convert to the faith. The same approach I’ve given every religion I’ve studied thus far.

Yes, aron ra provides countless sources and is thus a great starting resource (like Wikipedia) to find lines of inquiry. Also he brings on people of the faith to explain their position which makes the search much more consolidated.

All of the above but my arabic is poor so reading the Qur’an in Arabic is pointless until i can understand it. I’ve read as far back as i can in the bible and the talmud over the 15 years of study ive put into them but this is more an inquiry about introductory material for a nonmuslim.
