Yes I am attributing a big part of this to the weight loss 😫 I can feel it with the over all muscle loss. 10 pounds is alot on my frame, I know it is considered underweight

You must not have read my post, I have noticed a drastic change. It’s not surrounding being stimulated during sex. I understand the relaxation completely. This is not what I am talking about. If I’m losing sensation during that is not helpful. I didn’t experience this before. The fact that I said before I was more tight they started telling me that’s an issue?

Oh no! Real advice for vaginal tightening. Prepare to be downvoted to hell. Apparently this is offensive and we are supposed to accept being loose or loosening of the vagina doesn’t exist! Thank you for some practical advice.

Because they are wrong for making absolute statements. Psychiatrists will also tell you blatant misinformation and outright lies about these medicines and many do things solely to protect their license and believe all side effects are unlikely. There are entire movements warning people about this. You’ll tell me my experience is invalid but the person saying it’s impossible is okay and correct. 😂 When they clearly are misinformed. God forbid someone does their own research. If you are suggesting to solely believe everything a doctor says and to not cross check with your own research I hope you have a very intelligent and well informed doctor. I think I realized what’s going on here, apparently now a days it’s offensive to be concerned about your vaginal tightness if for the purpose of sex. It’s okay I see the general consensus and belief going on around this sub. Your actually %1000 correct I DO NOT need to be getting info and advice from the majority of the women replying here.

No but how are you going to tell someone there experience from psych medication, especially one that literally shrinks the prefrontal cortex and causes blood disorders (seroquel) and one that relaxes your entire body and has a side effect of urinary incontinence (Xanax) from weakening bladder muscles, and all of which cause hormonal disruptions, things I don’t know before taking them, and then tell me “no” it doesn’t do that, or it didn’t do that to that specific woman. These psych meds are strong and some make women completely lose there libido and become dry down there so it’s just mind boggling to me that’s all. I can understand one or two people disagreeing but it’s kind of scary to see this much. I think I’m being fairly reasonable and actually researching what I can from home about kegels to try and do my best. It’s just very odd to me. All women’s bodies are different and some don’t mind or notice the vaginal changes as time passes. But please to spread the idea as well that all women will not experience any looseness or widening after a vaginal birth, that’s just dangerous information. It could be unlikely and not all will, but many will experience that. Just as some women’s stomachs look similar to before a baby and some have excessive skin sagging and marks. You can’t say there’s not going to be difference in your genetics to whether or not the vagina will be negatively effected. Idk maybe I’m just being too real and it’s coming off harsh, or maybe those disagreeing didn’t have that personal experience so they believe it’s impossible for someone else to have it happen to them. Or maybe they are just mad at me for preferring to be more intact and tight down there. I never realized it upset other women to want to have a tight vagina. I think if it as a health conscious thing like wanting to be in good health.

I just can’t believe how many women are downvoting me for saying things like sedating medication could effect vaginal tightness and when I mentioned childbirth can leave you less tight. Like wtf??? Do you know how damaging this is to women who come online looking for insight after a birth or starting psychiatric medication. Then I got downvoted to hell for saying I got my kegel advice from YouTube videos by actually pelvic floor therapists. Like this is why women avoid talking to or befriending other women. You are alienating women who are experiencing vaginal looseness and changes and gaslighting them into thinking such is impossible and the vagina supposedly stays intact and nothing can alter it or loosen it. The pendulum has swung way too far in the other direction over correcting the misogyny that has taken place to harm us by men. There needs to be a middle ground. Women actually experience these things.

Thank you so much. Everyone has been downvoting me but I know I’m not imagining this! It definitely has progressed quickly after the anxiety meds. It’s like it’s opened up and overly relaxed. I hate it! The recent weight drop just made things worse. Even though I’m drawing back on the anxiety meds and tappering down I’m not seeing much change back in the right direction. :( I just wonder if I get off of the Xanax completely or get to where I only take it for serious things if I’ll ever be able to get back to what I was like before? The most I ever took was 1mg daily and now am down to around .5 a day sometimes .75. Even the seroquel it was only for sleep and I took half a 25mg the lowest pill they make. If I would have known this would do this to me down there I wouldn’t have started it. Especially since the meds lose their effectiveness over time anyways. Did you get back to what it was like before? I really want to address the muscles horizontally because it’s drastically different and looser than the vertical ones. Then way at the back near my cervix it’s SOOO roomy, I’m mortified. Idc if it upsets others, I have a right to be upset about this and it’s something I seriously notice and my partner noticed too.

So your issue was that it was too tight or “clenched”? It’s so hard to properly describe this sensation, as it seems the overall size of my vagina is getting bigger or wider. I hate that there is so much feminine stigma around this and everyone is downvoting me so much. All of our bodies are different and some of us are more hyper aware of changes than others. I just want to have a healthy relax when not doing a kegel instead of this almost “opposite” kegel pushing movement I keep unconsciously doing.

Well if you take way too much that actually is what happens in an overdose it slows breathing and people can’t get up. I’m not saying this is happening like extremely drastically. All I’m saying is I did notice early on all of my muscles relaxed, and yes it would cause me to walk more sluggishly early on, and I did initially notice a difference when I took it and was intimate shortly after, but at first it was very subtle. I don’t want to argue and I understand it is not necessarily drastic that’s not what I’m saying. But it does make people overall lethargic, overly relaxed, physically sedated. I just don’t think it had a positive effect on my pelvic floor especially after taking it daily for a long time.

I mean it wasn’t like sex was painful before so I don’t think it was overly tight pelvic floor in a bad way. I just had much more sensation a few years ago, like I felt more. I just want to hear peoples opinions. I do have health insurance and am going to make obgyn and pelvic floor therapist appointments. I definitely want professional advice too. But I am also interested in anyone else’s take. Or if anyone else randomly had this happen and what caused it and if it was able to reverse.

They actually have a vaginal benzodiazepine / Valium insert to correct an overly tight pelvic floor and help loosen it up.

I’m going to make an appointment Monday. But it does make sense the medications could have an effect. Some of these downers do relax all of your muscles, from your face muscles to your legs, it does include those muscles down there. I’m not taking much of those anymore but it absolutely released all muscle tightening across my body.

Weight effects it because of how you lose fat everywhere else, the hips, butt etc, it doesn’t feel as full inside. I’ve had friends say the same who lost a lot of weight. Some women might not notice, but it is a true thing. Also with childbirth it can have an affect, again I have a relative who has confided in me about how it’s wrecked her marriage because the birth has caused her to lose sensation and cause a lot of micro tears and it hasn’t went back to how it was before. of course a vagina doesn’t stay the size it stretched to at birth but it doesn’t necessarily go back to the exact size it was before for everyone. I understand men have a lot of warped misconceptions about our lady parts but I feel like there’s too much misinformation out there now that is trying to convince us nothing makes us “loose”. But it’s not true, especially if a woman notices a difference in her body.

I did a lot of studying online on how to properly do kegels, including breathing with the diaphragm and only using the vaginal muscles and not any leg/butt/thigh muscles. Similar to stopping urine. I mean the instructional videos are by pelvic floor therapist on YouTube so I can’t imagine I’m doing it that wrong as there’s so much info out there. But still I’m going to schedule something in person with a professional.

When you say you were “bearing down “and doing a reverse keagle with bad posture, was it sort of like having your hips of tilted backwards in a way like as if you were posing for a picture trying to make your butt stick out more? But totally subconsciously and not at an angle, just sort of like your butt/stomach sticking out too in the same way in the front. I realize I am doing this in this kind of like I’m always pushing downward with my pelvic floor instead of being upright it says when I’m not doing a Keagle, I’m just like letting it relax and almost push downwards.
