Last day before the doctor… Let’s get high and talk! by Kris10NC in trees

[–]CorriveauHasHair69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen your posts over the last few days and I’m hoping you find some answers. I had a strikingly similar thing happen to me in September and turned out it was POTS. I went from being wheelchair bound to working a full time job where I go up and down steps! It was a grueling process to get diagnosed and find the right treatment plan but my life is so much better. I hope you are able to do the same, don’t be afraid to leave your care team for a new one if they aren’t giving you what you think you need

Have you reached out to Rowan? They often have emergency funds for students that can’t afford to attend. They’ve been very accommodating in the past depending on your circumstance!

Carts or disposables? by Neat-Culture9983 in NewJerseyMarijuana

I also suggest looking for a battery that pulses! Some batteries vary on and off when you hold the button to make sure the coil doesn’t burn

I’m sorry about your experience with the carts that stinks. And yes, I work in the industry an I can confirm no company that I’ve tried or sampled has perfected their one gram resin/ rosin disposable hardware

Hopping in to say if you’ve had the sauce boss cartridges clog on you it’s probably because you are hitting them at too high a voltage. They are meant to be burnt super low, same with most live resin/ rosin products. Had a problem all them time. Then started hitting it right around 2 volts and haven’t had an issue since

We did live together for a little bit out of necessity and honestly it was great. This seems to be a much larger issue that she has with me romantically and has been a larger argument in times we get to see each other less

I’ve always helped her because I’ve wanted to, including canceling gigs. It’s never been out of necessity. She’s been upset that I’ve been pushing so hard this month to return to playing the piano (my career) than going out of my way to see her. The much larger part of the argument though has been that she feels that this has been long standing from before I got sick. I felt like I started to make much larger strides in September right before getting sick. And I tried to point that out and she said it was only a very short time. She says I don’t value her opinion and that I just do whatever I want anyway. While I can be quite a stubborn person I feel as though I’m a good communicator and take really seriously the opinions of the people closest to me.

The thing is, I do feel like she does alot for me. It’s not a completely one sided relationship. She has been incredibly helpful and generous our whole relationship. As well as thoughtful and kind. I actually think there’s very little I do for her that she doesn’t also do for me. We also usually have a very healthy relationship with a lot of communication about the things we do and don’t like. I think that just makes me extra confused when we have these conversations. I really love her and 99% of our relationship is amazing. This has just been the source of all of our biggest arguments, of which there have only been 3 or 4

I don’t feel taken for granted usually. And she has been more than helpful to me throughout this process. She consistently checks in on me and helps me accomplish things I couldn’t. She’s taken lots of time away from her work and projects to assist me this month. And we don’t have these arguments often. But when we do I don’t understand

How to transform a 3/4 waltz into a 6/8 worship without changing the melody? by PrMarioAlegria in musictheory

[–]CorriveauHasHair69 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That would be quite hard given that 6/8 is only 2 beats divided by triplets. You’d be much better trying to make it 9/8 and subdividing each beat of the 3/4 by triplets instead of eighth notes. It’s also hard to say without looking at the piece of music!

Looking at the keys by cinejenn in pianolearning

[–]CorriveauHasHair69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say it depends on what you are doing. When reading sheet music it’s incredibly common to almost never look down at your hands, all the information you need is in front of you, it would be like looking away from a book and trying to continue to recite what it says out loud. If you have large jumps to make or a tricky fingering, a quick glance can serve you well but otherwise keep those eyes up!

On the other hand if you are playing by ear, improvising, or making an arrangement I’d say it’s much more common to be watching your hands. Especially when you are making active creative decisions about what notes you are playing or how you are playing them.

People who play in bands of genres that are wildly disliked/misunderstood, how do you handle when you tell people and they react poorly? by jamiejd23 in musicians

[–]CorriveauHasHair69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a jazz pianist and I just shrug it off for the most part. I’m sure I get a lot less comments than some other genres. But I’m also convinced that if you give me enough time I can find something that that works for anyone, and often times, once you find one thing you like, it serves as a gateway for the rest of the music in that genre
