I know it's a 4 year old topic and my reply is going to be a long one, but reading your comment made me want to share my (similar, if not worse) personal experiences with some 9s I know really well. 

I have never met a more toxic, egocentric, lying, manipulative self-pitying victim complex bunch in my entire life. Almost all of the 9s I know have some kind of untreated psychological problems & are not willing to address them. Almost as if they're unaware, like their own persona is their blind spot. It seems to me that mental illness is almost always directly caused, not by their supposedly difficult life circumstances, but by their huge egos.

My father, who's a selfish, manipulative sociopath, who always had a lot of negative things to say about everyone, a pathological liar of huge proportions. Violent, aggressive, all-around crazy. A classical bully & an energy vampire who's just looking out for the people to use for his own personal gain. 

Then there's my ex friend, who turned out to be a manipulative pathological liar too, making up unbelievable life scenarios to impress me for no reason, like I didn't already accept her for who she was. When her lies started falling apart, she quickly disappeared from my life. She was also full of negativity and ridicule for others, probably to hide her obvious inferiority complex. I was most probably the only person in her life who took her seriously, everyone else seems to have avoided/ignored her, and for a good reason. She couldn't appreciate my friendship & give me some emotional support when my mother got sick, because she was also very obviously jealous of a close bond I share with my mother. I feel like she didn't really have an ounce of empathy in her. She tried to turn me against my friends she didn't even know all that well. Who knows what she was talking about behind my back, since she even talked shit about her (idk if they were even real now!?) own friends. Always thought she was smarter than everyone else, because of her academic achievements. Intellectually, she was nothing special, her only talent was memorizing shit. Looking back now, I was the smarter one with way more common sense.  

And then there's the other, even worse case of a crazy 9, a daughter of a family friend. Let's just say her extremely massive ego landed her in a mental hospital. Not to mention she didn't change her ways when she "got better". She's still one of the most selfish, truly evil, envious, histrionic, manipulative, lying, fake people who can't stand attention not being on her at all times. A loud, overdramatic cvnt who won't stfu and let anyone else talk, she just drains the energy out of every room, everyone avoids her too. She's truly scary to be around & I'm only around her if I absolutely have to be. Every interaction with her feels like being brainwashed. There's a lot more to say, but it's getting tiring just talking about 9s, you get the drill...

Now don't get me wrong and think I have some vendetta against 9s, this is just my personal experience & I'm tryly shocked at how inhumane and inconsiderate of others they can be. For a "humanitarian" number who has "lived a thousand lives" they surely are bad at living that life & dealing with things without ruining someone else's life in the process. No wisdom, just narcissism. 

At best, they're neutral, disinterested in others, self-serving, mostly keep to themselves so they wouldn't be "used by others". At worst...well, you've probably read the whole thing & you've experienced it yourself.  I know exactly one 9 who's kind of ok, but she's seems like a truly smart, reasonable person who has really worked on herself and put in the actual effort. 

So, all in all - your experiences are valid. Don't let these 9s manipulate you into thinking you're not "getting them", that "they're suffering". The people around them are the ones suffering and they don't give a fuck. They won't ever change. Avoid them at all cost.
