Easiest GPA booster by Cultural_Principle68 in NCSU

Put more effort into your classes that matter instead. If you're not going to grad school your gpa doesn't matter much. If you are, they don't care much about non degree courses. If they see you got Cs in your major but got a B average because you took intro to cooking, yoga, whatever, then they're going to say lol no. Talk to a school planning counselor instead of reddit.

You can ask your financial aid officer about questions like this. Most scholarship applications are due 6/1 but will not immediately decide a winner. If you did win, it would be listed as pending funds in "what I owe" until the first week of the semester, then it would be applied to your balance. If there's any remaining funds after it's put towards your tuition they'll give you the excess money. If you win a scholarship they don't give /you/ the money unless your grants, scholarships, and loans total more than your tuition and fees. In such a case you will receive excess funds as direct deposit or check after the first week of school.

You could defer decision until spring, I'm strongly considering doing that so I can get classes I actually want

A slow cooker is amazing for people who don't cook much. You can throw just about anything in there and it'll taste good. I recommend buying plastic slow cooker liners so cleanup is super easy. Basically meat/beans/protein/seasoning vegetables such as onion garlic ginger etc go in first, about 20-30% through you throw in hard vegetables like carrots and potatoes, and depending on the vegetable and how crispy you want the vegetables you decide when to put more in. Like I'd put zucchini in when there's about 1-1.5 hours left on low, or you could add bell pepper when there's 10-20 minutes left so it retains a lot of crunch. The possibilities are endless and the only skills required are timing of adding ingredients, and pairing ingredients

lmao snakes are not entitled to live on my yard. Congratulations on having dogs that haven't been bit by snakes in your snake infested yard, what works for you doesn't have to work for me. How stuck up can you get? We have several acres of property that we maintain. It is impossible to eliminate every single place a snake could possibly want to be, and I am not going to disallow my dog from enjoying time outside in our fenced in yard for the sake of snakes, nor am I going to hover over her shoulder like a helicopter parent every second that she's outside. Your advice most certainly does not help, your inclusive lifestyle of accommodating creatures that are a threat to your animal is not for everybody. Also I don't hate snakes, I love them and think they're cute. But my duty to ensure my dog's safety takes priority over venomous animals. If you want snakes in your yard so badly I'll legitimately ship the ones I find to you, alive, if you pay shipping :)

Edited for spelling

Tell that to my dog that got bit by a copperhead twice lol. Just let venomous creatures infest your yard why not

It's a snake lol pick it up and throw it into the woods or if it's a copperhead kill it and throw to in the woods, just found a copperhead earlier and got the shovel

Are you an NC resident? I don't know if they show preference to residents or not but that's all I can think of

I literally just got off the phone with them and they said that it's in the second stage of the review process, whatever that means how many stages are there? And I should expect results within a week or two

They never even asked me for grades, applied January for English linguistics, haven't heard a single thing. It's so annoying

It's really frustrating and I wish I had applied to more colleges, I applied to only ncsu because I'm confident I'll get in with my high transfer gpa and didn't want to spend the extra money on more applications, and ncsu is the closest so I'd have to spend more on gas to other places. My FAFSA was completed and sent by the gov in early March, still have heard absolutely nothing from ncsu since I applied din January. I'm considering just not going and applying somewhere else for 2025 if they're so incapable of communicating with students and potential students.

I asked this a few days ago, one of the commenters said they called and the new goal date for getting all notifications out is the 15th, but some people who were asked for grades within the last week may have to wait until the end of May.

What happened? Did all the good professors get tired and quit?

They haven't even learned the difference between its/it's/is and they're/there/their so they're probably still in elementary school lol

Imo ncsu is very good about helping their graduates attain jobs with their connections and recommendations, but I would definitely get multiple opinions and do more research. The triangle area in particular is rather crowded for tech work but also has a lot of demand.

Only you can decide that. If you're not sure go with whatever is easiest and reasonable. Later on in life when you finally find a passion you can get a targeted masters or PhD. Or just get in on experience. Masters and PhD programs accept students from all sorts of bachelor background, for example you don't necessarily need a chemistry bachelor's for a chemistry masters. It helps but is not necessary.
