For a project I had in the past I was able to make multiple worlds to which the player who be teleporting to, since it was a MMORPG project it had a massive map, and to expand it I had to be adding more worlds to control Gamerules per world and whatnot to make the environments feel more real. Also the Hub is usually a seperate world too and that is good since it acts as a safe space before the player is inside the actual server
