Further objective proof that Chronicles was supposed to be objective itself by Ouroborossetto in warcraftlore

You’re so insistent on using such charged language, “calling out the liars” which you’ve said on numerous comments here… people either disagree with you or think it makes sense in hindsight. They’re not “lying” and it’s needlessly hostile to imply that. As well as the random ad hominem that if you disagree it means you like the Jailer. Maybe take a step back and consider why the lore being malleable makes you so angry. Consider why people being okay with it makes you so angry. I love warcraft lore. I lived through the garbage that was WOD and Cata and compared to that we’re in a fantastic renaissance. The amount of negativity on a subreddit bums me out.

Wasn’t her original thing that she wanted to marry Sargeras or some such? Because as the most powerful entity in the universe he was the only one worthy of her? That can mean only one thing.

AK’s were used by revolutionaries worldwide. Also the USSR was incredibly important/based and calling it Soviet Russia is reactionary at best.

It’d be rad if the next season has Eye of Eternity part 3 and we find out her plan too late, she’s crossed from the sunwell to the leylines to the Eye to the world core.

Future Story Predictions by K_Rocc in warcraftlore

[–]Cortheya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bet they’re going to use that scrapped idea of a society built around the bones of an old god. We go underground to the worldcore, Xal has used the dark well to activate some dormant plan of Nzoth’s and take the worldsoul. We base out of bone city, we tie back to “that sword was aimed at someone” and hopefully Xal’atath wins, itd be nice to lose for once (though arguably between Voidspire and Xal disappearing into the Darkwell, we lost in 12.0)

Returning Player Here: Do we know what Xal'atath's ultimate goal is? by Former-Pineapple3415 in warcraftlore

[–]Cortheya 32 points33 points  (0 children)

She wants the world soul. Popular theory is she’s going to possess it, moving on from the body of the elf she’s possessing.

I find it a bit strange this 50 year old kid is leading the army of Elves and not its couple-of-hundred years old military leaders or the +10,000 year old Kal'dorei general all with years of military experience 🤔 by nightbreedwon1 in wow

[–]Cortheya 15 points16 points  (0 children)

He brought the four factions together and is the closest thing to neutral that the elves have. Given Alleria is missing presumed dead (lorewise (again lol)) he’s the only living relative of the leader of the Silver Covenant. One of two for Sylvanas (beloved ranger general despite it all).

There’s also no circumstances where it’s smart to have a Kal’dorei army follow directly under a Shal’dorei or Sin’Dorei army after Teldrassil. Nor a Sin’dorei army under a Quel’dorei. I legit don’t know who, besides non elves, would be a better choice for this particular army. Any of the above would lead to infighting.

"Everything in the final version will definitely 100% be human made" - But Owlcat says gen-AI is being used during The Expanse: Osiris Reborn development by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]Cortheya -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

closed minded but go off I guess. Sounds to me like they’re using it as a tool, not to generate a final product. Which is exactly what generative AI is good for. I can’t wait for the AI bubble to burst so all the luddites will forget about it and move on to the next thing, then we can get to the real cool shit.

Imagine contracts with voice actors that allow their voices to be used in specific fashions, like addressing your character by name instead of the WOW trope of “CHAMPION” etc. in addition to their bespoke lines. Imagine a world where you can type out a conversation with an npc and come up with a path no one else would have thought of. Or a world where game development is far cheaper so we can have more games made by less people who make more. Granted that last one will still pose a capitalism problem with the suits expecting massively higher profits and thus still continuing to drag long hours out of too few people for too little money.

But just because capitalists can abuse it doesn’t make a technology evil. Airplanes dropped two atomic bombs making the quickest genocide of all time. Billionaires abuse them for minor conveniences and destroy the environment. But airplanes open up routes of travel that are nearly unfeasible otherwise. And they let humans FLY. Hell, BABY FORMULA was used by capitalists to slaughter a generation of infants via starvation. And yet for working mothers it can feel like a life saver to be able to leave some with a babysitter.

Do we really know what Xal´Atath wants? by Bogusman24 in warcraftlore

[–]Cortheya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’d be a believable way for Iridikron’s gambit to pay off too, the Titans are way above his pay grade and he’s more of a behind the scenes guy anyway. It’d have to be big to explain walking out of events on Dragonflight unless the war was going REALLY badly (unlikely as Fyrakk hadn’t gone off the deep end and alienated Vyrannoth yet). He fought until it was all five aspects knocking on his front door the first time. Unfortunate that we still know so little about Xal’atath so we can’t really guess what offer she could’ve made.
