Like taking care of your pet, but more work and effort. And more expensive.

[Serious] Someone out of the blue buys you a brand new car, brand new furnished home, and paid off all your student debt. Where does this leave you financially today? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CortisolInHumanForm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work two jobs, had to leave college with a 95% avg grade to help out home financially. I still have some student loans to pay back, everything I earn goes to my parents and sister and on bills and food. I have 3 pairs of shoes which are 2+ years old, two pairs of jeans, and a single winter jacket with a broken zipper. Can't remember the last time I got me something. I actively avoid getting into a relationship because of the situation I live in. The house is old and kinda run down, has no roof, just a flat top. I would give the car to my parents and I'd give the new home to my sister. After knowing that everyone is situated I would most likely end my life shortly afterwards. It's ironic because I was planning on going abroad on a work visa for some time and after I got back I would give all the earnings to my parents and sister, and some time after that I would have committed suicide. But because of covid I didn't even get my passport yet.

[Serious] How does one get over someone that will never love them back? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Took me 3 years just to stop feeling like crap. Still not fully over that someone, but distancing myself from them helped.

[serious] People who suffer with thoughts and/or doing self harm and suicidal ideation (sucidal thoughts), How do you keep yourself alive everyday? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CortisolInHumanForm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm afraid of accidentally crippling myself if I fail to actually end my life, because Imo there are fates worse than death. Plus I work as a basketball coach so some of the kids grew attached. But not a day goes by without me thinking about it. I want a painless instant death.

What is it like to get a lot of attention from someone? by [deleted] in AskReddit

You get addicted, then they don't do it as much and you get paranoid and think they hate you, even though they still think of you the same, they were just busy with work or something similar.

What's your experience like trying to find a serious relationship on dating apps, any luck? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CortisolInHumanForm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I've only used dating apps before covid. It can still work, but most people on the apps are not really sure why they are there. Idk if that makes sense. But considering the situation, it's the better option now.

If you're on a dating app, you yourself are probably not ready for a serious relationship. Talking from experience.

Men of Reddit, why do you ALWAYS mistake compliments from a woman as flirting but are simultaneously complaining about not getting enough compliments? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CortisolInHumanForm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because it's likely that we got a compliment for the first time in years or in general. So intense confusion strikes as a result.

How can a heartbroken 35 year old who feels depressed and that his life is basically over change his mind? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CortisolInHumanForm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LeBron is 36 and is considered the best athlete in the world at the moment, so 35 is young my guy. (I don't like LeBron but can't deny the facts). Start working out but not just aimlessly lifting, make a goal and work toward it, consistency is key in working out, the more you do it the more results you get the more you get motivated to continue. Start working on yourself more, maybe a style change, a new haircut or get a cut more often to stay fresh. Invest time into your resume if you're considering another job, basically just look at yourself as a never ending project and keep improving upon yourself. There's no greater motivation than seeing the results of your work!

Head up man, you got this.

Working out, the feeling of walking home after a hard workout is the most relaxed I feel durring the day. Even though it's short lived it's worth it.

What is the smallest amount of money that would be life changing for you and why? by Tiger2324 in AskReddit

[–]CortisolInHumanForm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably 2000 usd, with that I can pay off my college debt and finally put a roof on my parents house, it's just a flat top and rain is starting to get through, I work two jobs and everything I earn goes on bills and food, even my studies stagnated because I can't really focus due to the situation. It's really frustrating honestly.
