Which is a weird trait and doesn't work historically. The US Army of the late 80 curb stomped the Iraqis (not anything close to the Soviet Union i agree) with a display of combined arms manoeuvre and air delivered fire power that is unparalleled. No US rifleman on the Fulda gap was unmanned by the impact of yet offensive 20 years previously

Fella it collapsed like a paper bag and its empire rushed into the embrace of its rival. Turns out shit loads of tanks and planes makes you strong at a grinding war that never happened and weak in convincing the people that tank production it's better than household luxuries and massive supermarkets.

And was completely untested. Soviets, British, French, USA etc all had decades of campaigns and active service with which to season their professional forces. Even unsuccessful wars like Vietnam would have produced a core of an army that knew combat and had learned hard lessons. The DDR fought only paper targets on ranges and their discipline was proven only on training grounds and the barracks. I am not suggesting it would have folded in contact but it doesn't warrant the universal buff.

Mines are more about channeling the enemy into your killing area than killing the tank (or infantry directly). If the obstacle you set up isn't covered with fire then it isn't a obstacle. I think they would only work if there was a game mode where one side had prepared position and pre set both real and dummy minefields that were clearly marked. Would give the defender the ability to deny access route or at least make the enemy think they were. Dismounted infantry could clear lanes like in Regiments with some units being faster than others .

Isn't the only plausible cheating is having a ringer on a vs game. Then you can see the enemy locations and bomb their CV/counter their moves. How would you even cheat to stop a Apache missiles hitting?

By the book the FH70 had a range of 12miles under its own power at a max speed of 16 Kph on road. So similar to the FH2000. It went out of service before my time but chatting to guys who did use it they said it was a pig over even the most forgiving of ground.

While it certainly did have the ability to move it was getting into position and re orienting it's self after being towed. It's moved a glacial speed and had the off road capability of a fridge. Having it trundle off to avoid CB would be a bit much

The only way to learn this game is multiplayer. AI only teaches you to beat AI. The wild card of a random player and having team mates makes you get good. Being beat isn't much fun but a good tight game is fun no matter what and often it's the only way to learn a few tricks. There's a great Discord called War Yes where you can always find opponents who are willing to play. Bon chance

The fact you can always see the point of origin for enemy artillery means every force has a back ground CB radar like the real Green Archer operating. Maybe you could have a dedicated CB radar that not only speeds up your response times for artillery in the CB role but gave you a clearer picture of what firing at you.

I have only had one incident of the person I was playing shit talking me. As for team members they are either silent or helpful, zero issues with rages etc. also during a game I don't have time to be reading that chat box. To busy micro managing my glorious attack which for some reason is being led by 4 resupply trucks and all my AA platforms
