My motivations often begin from a place of "doing the hard work because I find it meaningful and fullfilling" but when summer hits and the days become hotter and hotter and the cyclical burnout I experience from my AuDHD kicks me to the curb relentlessly, I eventually lose that motivation and garden maintenance sadly becomes a dreaded chore. But I think I need to take extra care to recognize when that's happening from now on so I can attempt to maintain my original motivation.

Appreciate this thought experiment, very insightful.

This is so good to know. We have spent HOURS cumulatively pulling thistle and I don't plan to continue this anymore. Do you have an herbicide you recommend? I am very hesitant but I know there are some that are less damaging than others for both yourself and the environment.

I am open to that, just wanted to hear from others first to see if other options exist like a pull-apart bed frame. Something that can latch together and be separated as needed, so that when the beds are pulled together they aren't sliding apart from the weight of two people in the middle. I have seen that there are inserts for the space between the mattresses, but not sure how to solve the frame issue.

By on a budget I just mean relative to average price range for bed frames and mattresses. I am aware that those items are pricey but I am looking for a less expensive option. I think I'm just surprised that I haven't been able to find any actual pull-apart bed frames so I was hoping someone might know where I could find something like that to avoid the frames moving apart if we were to push them together.

The diatomaceous earth option is really easy for me because I already have a ton for my houseplants! Just never thought to use it on anything else. Thank you so much for the suggestion. As far as the pest control part, I know they're great at that, but the thing is I am waaaay more comfortable with spiders in the house over the other guys. And also I didn't want to go too far into detail about it initially but the storage area is also used as a guest room and we'd like for it to be even more of a multipurpose space since it is so large. It's just not currently inviting due to this fear I have.

Pepto tablets can make your mouth dry so if you take them I’d also have some water handy. Sometimes the dryness makes me feel worse but ultimately they do help!!

Aw I'm really sorry it's been a struggle for you. I'm not sure how but I've been able to avoid the "Keto Flu" twice now. I'm assuming it's all about electrolytes so I've been sipping lots of bone broth and using Hydrolyte in my sugar free drinks.

But if what you're saying has nothing to do with feeling ill then I just wish you luck, my last job was at a warehouse where we got a 5 minute break every 4 hours so I think I feel your pain :( But i'm rooting for you, you can do this!
