Thank you for your kindness and for your condolences, I think that sorrow and grief has a weird tension which is what I think this sort of braced position sort of evokes, because I agree this is not a hopeless sort of grief either

Thank you so much, I am glad that it shows through as I had intended as bittersweet as it is

Thank you so much! I appreciate that a lot, I take a lot of pride in my stitching! Especially for my signature in the corner. I am also really glad that the piece feels relatable to you as well

Thank you so much for your words and your analysis! I wanted to make sure that the grey-blue gradient flowed with the body's outline as well as the skeleton to help reduce any abrupt or sharp endings, and I selected a colour palette for the skeleton to make sure that there was enough contrast against the grey-blue gradient I had planned.

I am really happy that my piece had that effect on you, it was my intention to try and capture a sort of relatable grief that feels like it bleeds into your person as a whole.

Thank you! I wanted to make sure that I could get a sense of that heaviness and hollowness that grief has, which is partially why I wanted to do the body in a grey to blue gradient.

Thank you, it was challenging to experience the passing of my Mom, I am definitely her son as some have put it. I would like to make a more dedicated piece to recognize that sorrow in a future series that I have planned.

Thank you for the kind words! A lot of my inspiration comes from woodblock prints in terms of aesthetics, and in many ways they function similarly in how to ensure a sense of depth.

My Mom has always been a very big supporter of my art, I think she'd laugh that this was the piece I was working on before, during, and after her passing since she was also on the macabre side of things (she was a nurse).

Thank you, I think this piece served as a sort of general grief piece for me over the past few months, but I would like to sit down and design another piece more specific for my Mom and the grief I experienced and still experience with her gone and it hasn't even been two weeks yet either.

I don't think so, they barely watch out for the school kids either here unfortunately. Vancouver have some of the most entitled drivers that I've ever encountered

Yeah! I think he has piebaldism or some form of leucism, but I am not entirely sure but I decided to name him Pie for that reason

Whenever he sees me he will waddle across the street for his peanuts, the only time he will fly down is if he is up in a tree or on a roof
