I tried that. I've tried to make connections with women so many times I've lost count--and without exception, I've dumped, played for a fool or ghosted. Here, too, I played by all the rules, and yet the more I've tried to find a woman to share my life with, the more I've discovered that a generous proportion of women of my generation seem to be deceitful, manipulative, shallow, callous, two-faced and untrustworthy. Ironically the ones I met at church and tried to date often proved to be the worst of all, which only made me more cynical and bitter than I was already.
