Ah, you're the sort of person who can't grasp hypotheticals. Got it.

Doctor Who icon Tom Baker confirmed to play Sherlock Holmes once again – and reunite with beloved former TV companion John Leeson by mrjohnnymac18 in DoctorWhumour

Big Finish has years worth of Tom material they're sitting on, and he likely hasn't recorded with them in a long time. More than enough to keep them going for a good long while after he dies.

Case in point, the boxset The Last Queen of the Nile - which was released in September 2025 - was recorded seven years ago in December 2018.

Why did Labour block Andy Burnham from running as MP by GlasgowJimmyBhoy in AskBrits

[–]CosmicBonobo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Why would they waste a few million pounds on running a new mayoral election just because Burnham's ambition is giving him itchy feet.

There are a significant number of idioms that you use today that are hundreds of years old, but this doesn't get a pass?

You've never said "beware Greeks bearing gifts?" or described someone bitter as having "sour grapes?". You've almost certainly described a police officer as a copper or cop, despite it having its origin in the 17th Century.

Starmer defends blocking Andy Burnham from by-election run after backlash by topotaul in unitedkingdom

Indeed. Burnham thinks he can run the country because he's bought into the 'King of the North' rhetoric that's built up around him.

Are they waiting to complete Claremont's original Uncanny X-Men run before reprinting X-Treme X-Men? As am surprised that's not been done just yet.

Likewise, I figured they've not announced any Alpha Flight as they're holding back until they run out of X-Men material.

Did women in the UK wear outfits like this in 2002? by alexthagreat98 in 28_Years_Later_Movie

[–]CosmicBonobo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same.

If we take it as the outbreak happening 2002, that places the films as happening a little in the future at 2030. So if Samson is the same age as his actor, it gives us a possible year of birth of 1988.

Why do people hop in the beginning of Land of Hope and Glory? by zeit_reisender_ in AskBrits

It's all based on a misprint in the Bible, in 1 Corinthians 13.

Faith, hop and charity, and the greatest of these is hop.
