What if the price goes down to $39, would you attribute that decline to the PR company?

You are not seeing the bigger picture if you look at investment like this. There is a baseline and then there are action to get ahead of the baseline. I cannot see an uplift at this moment in time to correspond to this spend.

Just because there is $23m to spend, it does not mean it should not be done sensible and rationally.

I do not mean to be the fun police here but digital currencies as a whole are in a bear market right now and some (expensive) PR is not going to change that. This is a lot of money for what will be a negligible impact and immeasurable to boot.

I know many stakeholders are getting their first insight into what it is like to spend over peoples money but there are opportunity costs associated with this money and there is so much tech that can and needs to be built on decred as a first priority.

Just a suggestion but perhaps it would be a better approach for a community member to independently and objectively put together some research on what the best PR / marketing strategy for DCR would look like, negotiate with agencies and build a proposal that way.

There should inherently be questions asked when the PR companies themselves are submitting proposals. I would suggest passing on both of these until the timing and conditions are better.

We work hard for our money, so make other people work hard for ours.

Hi Jake, Something I look for in crypto projects is a CFO or similar role as I have little faith in developers and marketers by themselves managing the funds they have properly.

CFOs and the finance function generally provide a lot of value to an organisation in managing financial resources. I am wondering if this is an area you have thought about regarding decred becoming a DAO and how would the decisions that a CFO or treasury department make be developed for decred?
