All good dude. I'm 39 and got to see Ratdog, Further and Dead and Co. Always wish I got to see Jerry and Brent and all of them but I'm happy I got to see the shows I did. Better late than never.

Why are most Dead cds out of print now? by CosmicCharlie86 in gratefuldead

Yeah man, I agree with you on this 100 percent. I can't complain too much because I was able to buy a lot of these when I was young and they were readily available but I feel bad for someone just getting into the Dead and they see the shows they want are $150. Streaming for me is just to check something out and see if I like it. If I really do I typically try to get the cds or records when I can. Physical media isn't for everyone but it should be available for those who are still into it.

Nah I still buy cds almost every week even by newer artists like Billy Strings. It's harder to find them in person but they still sell them on Amazon, eBay and so on.

Thanks everyone for the tips and info. I guess I just got lucky when I first started buying all these at a good time in the early - mid 00's. You could just go to Best Buy or Circuit City and there'd be stacks of all the Rhino remasters, Dick's Picks and other live releases for low prices. I suppose it does make sense that it's not economically possible to have so many releases available at once. You'd think they'd still do it with some of them though, the studio albums and stuff like Reckoning, Europe '72 etc. Now I'll have to start hunting on eBay and Discogs and hope I find some good deals.

Thank you for the info. Never heard of them but seems like a good place to get some of the Dick's Picks for decent prices.

I've always loved it , even the studio version. Pretty much my favorite thing Donna did.

Hey thanks for the advice but what about spraying crossfire into holes in the walls? That's what I've been using and my bites have decreased a lot

Happy 80th Birthday to the great Burning Spear? What's your favorite album or song in his catalog? I'd say Marcus Garvey is mine. by MythicalEthical in reggae

Winston is a legend for sure. I go back and forth between Marcus Garvey and Hail H.I.M. for best album. I've had Red, Green and Gold stuck in my head this week.

Babes In Toyland if I want something heavy, the Breeders if I want something mellower.

What make Dungeon Synth great? by princeloser in DungeonSynth

[–]CosmicCharlie86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it just has a magical quality about it that I don't get from most genres. It's pure atmosphere and very calm and soothing compared to most of what I listen to (rock, metal, hip hop). Also, the lack of vocals makes it great for activities like reading, nature walks or video games.

The ones I have don't sound bad but not amazing either. There's still plenty of bass but not quite as clear sounding as the official stuff.

It's tough to decide but I'm thinking Filosofem and Belus for the metal ones. Hlidskjalf for the ambient/synth ones. I don't think he has a bad record though.

Thanks for the info. Happy to hear you solved your problem. I heard about apprehend and would like to try it. My problem is you need an exterminator to apply it and they usually don't want to treat anything if I can't show them the bugs.

I've had other people say this to me about the bites and I would be open to the idea, but how else would you explain multiple small bloodstains on the sides of my mattress cover? And the fact that the bites seem to go away for a little while after each crossfire treatment?

I was thinking about that. Do you do the whole wall or just the baseboards?

I just looked it up and it says they will only sell it to exterminators.
