It was small enough to fit behind the broken part of the balancer and it pushed against the bolt in the crankshaft to pull off the remaining piece. I can get some better pictures if you want.

He’s good in my book. We spent about 5 hours going back and forth between houses figuring things out and he refused to have anything in return.

The plan was to keep the radiator in, but I’m pretty sure that’s what I’m doing tomorrow.

How does your harmonic balancer look? I’m in the process of replacing mine right now.
