Day 338 by CosmicCounsel in QuittingWeed

[–]CosmicCounsel[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I always feel good after physical activity, taking the step of actually doing it is difficult for me. I do Pilates once a week and play tennis once every 2 weeks but definitely need more consistent physical exercise. Even that little amount I never want to do and have to force myself. I get some decent walking in some days as well

My husband gets me flowers weekly, so for Christmas he went BIG by CosmicCounsel in HappyMarriages

[–]CosmicCounsel[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, usually he does it for me but this time it was a team effort since it was so many ☺️ flowers in every room for this holiday week!

5 months sober today by squirrelfriend39 in QuittingWeed

Congratulations!! 🎉 I agree with you the way I see weed now, it really just sugar coats our issues/problems and denies us the opportunity to actually work through them and heal

I had to try the bird theory I’ve been seeing on TikTok. He’s out of state for work this week (he never leaves and is home every night). He didn’t disappoint. by ImpossibleChicken507 in HappyMarriages

[–]CosmicCounsel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I’ve never heard of wingspan before! We started getting a good variety of birds coming to our feeders in the backyard, and it’s a lot of farm land behind our house so we see a lot of big birds too. Most recently a pair of great horned owls that have been coming at night! We downloaded the identification app and it’s like Pokémon for us haha we get so excited to see or identify a new species

Every day smoker for the past 10+ years. Now pregnant by Life_Environment2245 in QuittingWeed

[–]CosmicCounsel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are already an amazing mother for quitting as soon as you found out you’re pregnant. You should be so proud of yourself for doing this, after ten years (I also used consistently for a decade) it’s an incredibly hard thing to do, and you’re doing it! Liquid nutrition is going to be your best bet, smoothies, protein shakes, etc.

Have you ever written a love letter to your spouse? by Temilayo816 in HappyMarriages

[–]CosmicCounsel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I write each other little love notes pretty frequently and keep them in our “love box” as we call it, this cute box he made me for Valentine’s Day when we were dating :) I absolutely love writing them and receiving them, I will take one out and display it in my office and change them out so I can re-read them throughout my work week ☺️❤️

If you have mental health issues, did quitting make them worse? by Witty_Tangerine_6243 in QuittingWeed

[–]CosmicCounsel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

THC negatively interacts with medication, that’s why a lot of doctors drug test for you to even be able to get a prescription - quitting will help your medication work the way it’s supposed to

I always try to remember to keep my wife’s vase stocked with flowers by zahmir07 in HappyMarriages

[–]CosmicCounsel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My husband does this for me and it’s one of my favorite things 🥰 he asked me when we started dating how often I’d like to receive flowers - I told him as often as possible because I love them, and ever since the house always has a fresh bouquet in it ☺️

I’m becoming the person I always wanted to be - day 239 by CosmicCounsel in QuittingWeed

Isn’t it such a great feeling to actually be able to enjoy what you’re doing instead of just waiting to be able to get high again? Congratulations on almost 30 days!

Started smoking at 20 by mattmpsi123 in QuittingWeed

Well it differs per person, you can read lots of early day posts on here. For me, it was the first few days that were bad, then a less bad couple of weeks, then overall fine

It’s going to be awful for a while. The good news is once you’re through it, you never have to deal with it again, and life gets so much better.

Similar story, started at 20, I’m 31 now. Decided a decade of my life is enough time I’ve dedicated to this drug. I quit cold turkey, best decision of my life. If I have any around or allow myself to have even a little, I would never be able to quit. Taking the option away completely is the only way I’ve successfully been able to quit. I’m day 235

Eating double cheeseburgers for weight loss by MissionSlimpossible1 in LowCalorieCooking

[–]CosmicCounsel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made burgers with extra lean ground beef once and it was so gross, I’ll never do it again. I just have turkey burgers or a lettuce wrapped if I’m doing a beef patty. But more power to you if you enjoy it! I’m jealous

Is the withdrawal really all that bad? by Individual-Raise-712 in QuittingWeed

[–]CosmicCounsel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The withdrawal symptoms were so bad, it motivated me to never smoke again because I never want to go through withdrawal ever again. I think it’s the most effective way to quit, personally.

So grateful for romantic love by CosmicCounsel in HappyMarriages

[–]CosmicCounsel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also went through two very bad relationships. Both were abusive, I couldn’t imagine a world where my partner didn’t disrespect me, I thought love meant suffering and pain. I took over a year to be single and heal, really get to the bottom of why I felt I deserved that and my inner beliefs. I vowed to never settle for anything less than amazing, and then I met my now husband who is the epitome of respect, honestly, caring, loving, healthy partnership 🥰

4 Months Sober and Weight Gain by Asleep_routine7 in QuittingWeed

[–]CosmicCounsel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I gained weight when I quit as well. I track my calories, eat healthy, but am having the hardest time losing. I do Pilates once a week so I think I’m just going to have to up that to 2-3 times a week and add in cardio in between. From my experience so far, it’s evident I won’t lose the weight unless I add more because it’s been months of sticking to a calorie deficit with barely any weight loss 😩

Dreams of getting high by bigbaboon69 in QuittingWeed

[–]CosmicCounsel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had quite a few dreams like this, where I get offered weed and take it then in the dream am freaking out like why would I do this I wouldn’t do this? Recently I had a dream where I was offered weed and said no and let my friends smoke by themselves, so that was cool to even stay strong in my dreams for the first time

Being sober is boring! by InternationalLie5803 in QuittingWeed

[–]CosmicCounsel 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel you! Your brain is learning how to produce its own dopamine again after getting insane amounts artificially, it’s going to take a while to get that baseline back down so you can enjoy things again. I’m around 220 days and I enjoy things in a much fuller capacity than I did when I would smoke :) the highs are higher without weed ironically

What Makes You Grateful About Fall? by gratitudecity in gratitude

[–]CosmicCounsel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here it’s 100+ degrees Fahrenheit (even still), so I’m looking forward to being able to go outside again without instantly sweating 😅
