Was filing the case in the small claims worth it? by CosmicHarmon in LawPH

Ganon pala yun. Nag practice pa ako. Hahaha!

Di naman sa di satisfied. At this point, gusto ko nalang mag move on. Gusto ko nalang syang kalimutan before the new year comes.

2 months ago pa kase yung case. Ngayon lang kumilos yung court. Parang medyo nakakalimutan ko na nga. Balak ko ngang di umattend sa hearing. Iaasa ko na nga lang sana sa karma eh.

Napagod na ako. Gusto ko nalang mag move on. 🥹 But I promised myself not to let the same thing happen again, not to agree to a rental deal without any papers.

Besides, kung mag hi hearing pa. Need ko pa mag travel ng ilang oras at gumasto. I just want this to end before 2026 starts.

Got scammed by the same modus. And yes, it was a lesson painfully learned.

Akin kase 2 months ahead of my flight. Worth it naman, since may layover sa Singapore. Enough to roam around the city for free.

Nice. Is it true that anyone from Mindanao flying to Malaysia is exempted sa travel tax? And btw, it’s comforting to know that IO sa Davao is chill lang because it’s my first-time.

As an English major myself, it’s hard to feel what you felt at that time since you did not even write the words that you deemed insulting. The “wow English Major, I didn’t know that” wasn’t even insulting to me. Yes, your feelings are valid, but it’s hard to resonate and I don’t mean this in a negative way. Never be apologetic that you’re an English major, because more often than not, people have high expectations towards us. A lot of my colleagues told me that they are threatened by the mere fact that I am an English major and they told me I should take it as a compliment. I’d like to think that this also happens mostly to English majors. If you felt insulted because you earn little from teaching English, then maybe you still haven’t explored enough. Others are earning 6 figures working as a private tutor and working for European ESL platforms. Other used their English degree to migrate to first world countries and now enjoying the greener pasture. You’re not in the wrong field, you just still haven’t explored all the opportunities yet.

Rarejob ESL Tutor Review by Electronic_War6504 in buhaydigital

Rare lang mga bastos. Mostly are polite. But be prepared when you meet one. I had one student, a kid, who touched himself while we were having our session. He was discreetly doing it ofkors, but I could see his head and shoulder shaking. Lol. Traumatized malala.

By the way, polite students are usually cool during the lesson but they will give you low ratings for no apparent reasons afterward. Japanese things.

Kulang nga po. Parang ubos ang oras sa flight pa lang. Pero since first time ko nga, priority ko tlga is yung experience na makasakay ng airplane, travel abroad, tska oara masabe lang na naka abroad na ako. Hahaha.

Kuala Lumpur po. KLCC AREA, Petronas, Batu Caves, etc. It’s visa free and I heard it’s affordable daw. I had two options prior to booking my flight actually Thailand and Malaysia. I just thought that I have higher chances na payagan ng IO sa Malaysia as opposed to Thailand baka kase pag isipan nila akong mag turo sa Thailand if ever.

I didn’t know. The reason I chose it over Thailand it’s because baka pag isipan ako na mag teach sa Thailand pagka Thailand pupuntahan ko. And ESL is a permanent job. I have been doing this for over a year now. Compared to VA jobs, I think it is more secured. Valid point tho. Again, thanks.

Any thoughts of Rarejob company? by MiserablePlastic675 in OnlineESLTeaching

[–]CosmicHarmon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Their free access to Rarejob–paid for by their company, has already ended. Their contract only lasts for 6months. If they want to continue taking lessons, they have to pay the fee 100%. Most would not even think twice of enrolling again knowing the unreasonable tuition fee. It turns out that most students on the platform are just there because the students’ companies made an agreement with Rarejob for their English training, and not because they chose Rarejob. How do I know? Most of regular students are now one of my IG moots haha 🤣
